We stayed at this Premier Inn for 1 night before an early morning flight, check in was very friendly and our room was good (as you would normally expect for a Premier Inn). We went down to the bar for a meal, we only wanted an informal bite after a long drive, this sounds simple but the system they operate is rather confusing. You can only eat from the main menu if you are seated in the restaurant, if you want to eat in the bar you can only have bar snacks these consisted of a choice of about 4 or 5 items with the biggest item being the sharing platter. We visited the bar for drinks and found there were food menus on the bar and a couple of people tucking into food from the main menu however when we tried to order we were informed we could only pick from the limited snack menu. This was very frustrating! We have visited other Premier Inn airport Hotels with Thyme restaurants attached and they operate a full menu in both the bar and restaurant so we found this rather confusing and very annoying. The thing that really annoyed us was that while we were tucking into our platter which we didn’t really want (but being hungry had no other choice as the restaurant was full) there were other people tucking into nice burgers in the bar area!
