We had an overnight stay recently before our early morning flight. Rooms comfortable and clean. Lovely and warm when it was freezing outside.

We did have a problem when our pre-booked taxi for the airport did not turn up. The receptionist did eventually sort this out but we could have done without the hassle and stress. Did not even get an apology from the driver.

Never had a problem with premier inn rooms, have always found them clean and comfortable, what more do you need for one night before an early flight.
We arrived 3 hours ago,and as I had booked in online there wasn't much to sort out at reception, we opted to pay for a meal deal.
Suitcases into our room and back downstairs for a cappuccino for me and a pint for himself.
Problem when I wanted another coffee, Costa was closed at five and the machine in the bar was being cleaned.
Perhaps a good idea would be to clean the machine before Costa closes, or is that too easy ??
Never mind it's only coffee.
Have just had our meal in thyme restaurant , and as the title proclaims "what a difference "
Last January it was awful. This year it was very enjoyable.
Starters -soup with warm dough stick+ black pudding with streaky bacon & apple
Mains 2 x 16oz full house burgers
1 pint of boddingtons + large Diet Pepsi
And the best part was our server Megan, what a delightful young lady, well done Megan you are an asset to premier inn and I wish I could have left you a £1000 tip.

I stayed for one night at the Premier Inn (Runger Lane North) near Manchester airport.

This hotel is one of two separate Premier Inn hotels next to each other based about a mile west of the airport situated next to an industrial estate and not immediately accessible from the airport complex. Confusingly the two Premier in buildings are named North and South but this one (North) actually appears on the map to be the more southerly of the two. There doesn't appear to be any shuttle bus to this hotel and would be best accessed by car or taxi. There are bus services from the airport bus station that pass the hotel (200 & 330) but annoyingly although they pass right by the hotel there are no marked stops outside and the nearest are five minutes walk in either direction past the hotel.

The hotel itself was modern and the type where they expect you to use the automated checking in machines although there is a small reception desk for further enquiries (a big thanks to Jacob for his help). The rooms are functional but a bit Spartan and the television a little small. There were open hanging spaces and a roomy bathroom including full bath with a shower over the bath. The bed however was very deep and comfortable and had a good nights sleep with the airport being far enough away not to hear the planes. A little disappointment is the lack of ironing board and iron but these can be obtained from the receptionist but to me an airport hotel should have these readily available in the rooms. Overall a basic room but clean and well presented. I didn't use the Restaurant but the bar was nice although a little crowded at the weekend and it has to be noted that as this hotel is slightly remote from the airport complex and there is nothing nearby as an alternative to the hotel bar and restaurant apart from the nearby two other hotels.

A clean well presented hotel with a great bed and booked at a months notice at a great price (£38) on their own site. It suffers slightly from being a remote location from the airport and has some public transport access passing by and it is surprising not more is made to promote the bus service from the airport including negotiating with the bus companies a stop at or nearer the three hotels at this location and promoting this.
