ive been to this hotel a few times when i come over the pennines to sample the delights manchester has to offer. my fave time is when the christmas continental market is running, within walking distance of the hotel.
right, the hotel............that i return tells you i love it, located near deansgate, the granada studios, short taxi ride (lazy tourists) to the evening thrills of chinatown, the northern quarter and canal street. the rooms are a delight, huge comfortable beds, luxurious furniture, you can control the heating as you like it. bathrooms are large and well equipped, the power shower was that good it had me cowering in the corner, and hot water is abundant. the spa is a must, i use it to swim in the morning, then relax after a busy day shopping, the pool is big enough, jacuzzi and sauna to beat the aches and pains away. the food,...........i havent eaten in the french restaurant, but i will say the breakfast is the best ive ever had in any hotel around the world. and if youre not hungry enough for dinner but feeling peckish, do order a steak sandwich, mouthwatering. i think before i move to my new life in the south i will need to have another night at the midland, who knows, it might be a while before im ooop north againMore
