Went to the Manchester United match. The Midland was a good place to stay. There were absolutely no problems, that's why I gave them a 4 instead of a 3. It's certainly not a 5 star (except for maybe the exterior) but it was clean, the staff was courteous, service was fine, the location was great, rooms were large enough (although I saw some interior rooms that would have been too small for my tastes), bar was ok, and the breakfast was adequate.
It wasn't exciting, it wasn't elegant, it wasn't overly exceptional, but then again there were zero problems. It was exactly what was expected, and that's not a bad thing.More
