Attending a pop concert at MEN, decided to splash out and spend the night to save driving home. Extremely pleased I did. Excellent hotel - very impressive reception and bar. Beautiful spacious room, very comfortable bed. Felt really quite special - almost like a VIP staying in such opulent surroundings.

Great unhurried breakfast in the morning with very attentive service from polite staff. Added cudos of a Premier League football team also staying the night - added to the 'glamour' of the stay !

Thoroughly recommend the Midland - smart and comfotable - a special experience.

I hadn't stayed at the Midland for about 6 years. When I was last there it was faded and tatty. Its since been refurbished and looks great. Service also much much better. Excellent valet parking, friendly and efficent check in. I was upgraded to a junior suite. Nicely furnished and comfortable. Only slight disappointment was breakfast - not really up to 4 star standard. Poor choice of bread, cereal and pastries and slow forgetful service. Still great hotel in great location.

Myself and my fiance stayed at this hotel for a weekend and it is the best hotel I have ever stayed at! We stayed in a deluxe room, which has an extra large bed, sofa and lots of space! Bed is the comfiest thing ever, didnt want to check out! Hotel is centrally located as well, we walked everywhere - Arndale, Piccadilly, Museum of Science and Industry. If you odnt mind walking then you can save money by parking at the NCP near Piccadiily station - its £4 for 24 hours there. Can't comment on breakfast or leisure facilities, went with best intentions but enjoyed the lie in too much! Would stay again, at a flash!

this hotel is luxurious but not intimidating.as you walk in you can't help but feel that you are part of the elite. As grand as this hotel is though, the staff could not be more pleasant or helpful.Nothing is too much trouble. It has the added benefit of being central for everything you would need in manchester.I cannot find one fault with this hotel,or the staff .Can't wait to go back for more pampering!!
