“Great little place to stay in South Manchester”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

Stayed here a number of times over the past few months and it is always consistent. Great rooms, service and ambiance. If you like little one-off boutique hotels this is a must. Nice breakfast room overlooking a nice garden, take time if you can to stroll around it and appreciate the tranquility it brings to, what is essentially, a City location.

Room Tip: Stayed in almost every room in the hotel and they are all great!

Although not quite so extensive as its sister Didsbury House Hotel (at the end of the same street), this spacious old villa has been decorated to the same high quality and is in no way inferior. The two front reception rooms are impressive, even though they bear the stripes of an interior designer. The bedrooms are comfortable and the breakfast room is bijou and stylish. The Park is two minutes away by foot, and a great range of restaurants and bars is within an easy walk in the attractive high street of Didsbury village.

We stayed three nights to visit our daughter who has recently moved to Chorlton in Manchester. The room was very comfortable and clean with roll-top bath, monsoon shower and walk-in wardrobe.
Breakfast was good and the service was always cheerful and friendly. There is a lovely small garden. We would stay again.
Its in the flightpath for Manchester Airport, so a bit noisy at times

Room Tip: our room was at the front of the hotel but as its a quiet, leafy road we weren't disturbed by tr...

Stayed for two nights and would return. Had a twin room which was really nice. Everything catered for, beds very comfortable compared to most hotels. Room was very hot but easily rectified by turning radiator in bathroom off and opening window. Great to have a midday checkout so no rushing. All staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice but a bit pricey at £15.50 per person. Plenty of local eateries within walking distance so would consider going out for breakfast if I visit hotel/area again. No key for main door which was a tad frustrating especially if nipping to car, as always have to buzz and wait for reception to open it. Overall great stay and would recommend.

Many Thanks for your recent review. I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay. Apologies for the having to ring the doorbell each time, It is there for security reasons however if you let one of the staff know we can help you out. I do hope we can welcome you back again soon

This small hotel is exceptional in the wonderful and different characters of each its lovely rooms.
The service was good with pleasant, friendly and attentive staff. the character an enchanting mix of boutique chic and sophisticated homeliness.
The rooms are quirky very well presented and clean with superb baths and showers. There are attractive gardens, outdoor areas and a comfortable conservatory.
Just a short walk away are an eclectic mix of pubs, bars and restaurants.
I would recommend this delightful hotel wholeheartedly; whether for a business visit of a romantic break.

Room Tip: Choose any room they will all be different.

Such a excellent warm and friendly hotel with lovely friendly staff. Room very clean with roll top bath (and fresh milk in the fridge). Breakfast great and freshly cooked. Fantastic outside area with a walled garden, we sat out in the sun after breakfast with coffee and newspaper. Will definitely return.
