Stayed in this hotel for one night with a group of friends, very close to everything, check in was very quick. Hotel is really lovely, the rooms are massive, to double beds plus a little seating area with a little sofa, chair and a coffe table. Would definitely stay here again.

visited again for our anniversary, we were a bit early, but still enabled us to check in, what a fantastic room, recently refurbished and loved the new decor, bathroom looked quite the same, but room was so spacious and new tv's have been fitted, luxurious bath robes provided and slippers, along with toiletries and good selection of teas and coffees, as always the staff were accommodating and pleasant, we especially liked the breakfast staff, very polite. breakfast was delicious and lots of choice, 2 niggles, were we couldnt get the wi fi to work, well hubby could at tiimes, but mine wouldnt work even the free one in the lounge/bar/restaurant area. and our room hadnt been serviced in the 3 days we were there, although we returned at 4pm and i went looking for the room hostess to ask for replacement milks, and she did say she would come and do it but we were getting sorted to go out for tea. still had a great stay, and as we enjoyed it here and it is ideally situated for shopping, eateries etc, we would stay here again

We stayed in room 613 which had a good view over the river. Bed was massive and very comfortable. Room spotless and high attention to detail in every aspect. Breakfast was very good and some nice fresh produce including smoothies. Very close to deansgate and the arndale, Highly recommend

I and a group of my friends stayed in a 2 bed double room in this lovely hotel to celebrate my birthday. The room was had great decor, ample space, nice bathroom with shower over bath with little touches like sparkles and gems in the sink tap head, small detail I know but little things like that just make it more special. The most comfy bed I have ever slept in. The hotel was just over the road from a great nightclub although no noise at all was herd in the room. A very helpful gentleman bought us a jug of water when we got back from a thoroughly enjoyed night dancing in the small hours of the morning which was exceptionally kind. All staff were professional and efficient. Great stay would defiantly return.

Stayed here during a business trip. The staff was very friendly at check in. I got to my room and the key didn't work. Got a new key and tried to get into the room, which was apparently already occupied. I called down to the front desk and they promptly sent up a gentleman who told me that they were upgrading me to club level for my troubles. The new room was huge with a wonderful panoramic view of the city. My only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom was a little dim. I ordered the chicken tikka masala from room service and it was very tasty. Breakfast the next morning was a good and filling. I enjoyed my stay here and look forward to staying here again.

I was on a work trip. The hotel was beautifully decorated, loved the that it celebrated Manchester. However it's tiresome to be given a code to have to log in in this day and age. We did not have to pay it; but it was charged to my bill and had to get them to cancel it. £15 for 24 hours.... must of which you are asleep or out. Marriott needs to get its act together on wifi.

Thought that the breakfast restaurant staff were excellent - really lovely welcome. And the wine bar staff were very helpful too. However there is no black pudding at breakfast. Even hotels as far south as Oxford have black pudding for breakfast.

The lift is a bit ferocious - trapped my hand in it - it does not re-open as most lifts would. I have a bruise and a scar as a result of this entrapment.

The aircon is organised is centrally, bring a good scarf/pashmina you will tremble with the cold; and then in the afternoon it will be really warm.

Room Tip: The higher the better for the views... I was on the 7th floor. Harvey Nicks looked great.
