Stayed at Hotel for a conference . It is was the std Hilton Hotel, with the decor etc, being of the
Hilton Quality.
I arrvd at 12 noon for the start of a conference. However there was conferences already started and parking was a nightmare !!!, we eventually got the last space but a number of the other attendees ended up , having to go to the local NCP carkpark, which was not just next door.
The food at the conference was middle of the road, with the choices being a bit odd !
the worst part of the hotel , was the continual banging of hotel room doors. The springs seem to be far too sprung and with people flying out at different times through the night, and late night dwellers. sleep was not easy, ( this was on floor 5).

Room Tip: level 5 , roo, doors banging Get there early , as parking a premium.

Got here very late on Friday night, in advance of an early flight on Saturday morning.
Left 3 of my 4 bags downstairs, and check in was quick and easy, just whats needed at that time of the night.

A great improvement is a "bus monitor" who makes sure all the people queueing outside for the shuttle bus get on the right bus, and in order, none of this queue jumping that used to take place. As I had 4 (plus a laptop bag) cases, this was a great help, otherwise the speedier people woth only one or two cases tended to jump in, and leave me stranded, and the "there'll be another bus along in 10 minutes" never quite cut it.

Yep, still a good choice for a pre flight hotel room.

Nice hotel close to the airport, offering free airport or station pickups. This time, we stayed in a nice room on the fourth floor, with modern decoration and pleasant atmosphere. The bed was comfy and the airconditioning worked fine (if noisy, yet more quiet then opening the windows). The view from the window was onto an untidy area of sheds, yet that did not really disturb me. The breakfast buffet is very extensive, including full english breakfast, a monster toaster that either burns the toast or leaves it pale and a kind waitress refilling your glass of orange juice. The service was friendly and we very much enjoyed our short stay before our flight took off. I'd be happy to go again.

That's about it really - it is ok for one night before you fly. or for people attending a conference. that is about it. a 4 star hotel, I would have expected to have had a few more features . but, the rooms were ok, and we got a good night sleep. but, to be honest, £30 less for one of the less high-end chains would have got the same. I agree with what Wulfie said below - it's a good paint-job and nice bedding in an average business / airport hotel

oh, and as a lot of people will be there for the airport parking, and so have a car with them, the enterence could do with being easier to see in the dark. we missed it, and had to drive round the whole airport to get back to it again

Stayed one night for an early morning flight, check in-no problems, room-no problems, clean room, bed really comfy. Didn't eat or drink there so can't comment on the food but looking at the menu in the room the prices were not that bad! Kettle, tea and coffee in room.
Shuttle bus to terminal 2 took 5 mins. Left my car there and they took it to a secure car park and was there waiting for me when we got back! What more does anyone want?!
