The Hotel is very clean and the staff are very nice and helpful, but the price of the breakfast £7.50 is in my view, clearly over priced for what you get. We entered the breakfast room not shown to a table we had to find our own, which was not cleaned and not set, the slection of cereal's was pityful, museli (I dont like) and rice krispies ( a kids cereal?), no sausages on the hot dish, really did not enjoy breakfast, we only had breakfast once and once was enough. The car park was a shock, we got the ticket validated, when we checked out, we paid £32.00 for two days and the hotel paid £4.00 for two days. On the web site it just says off site car park no warning of the price. I have stayed in hotels where they warn you of the price of the car park and its not included in your stay. SO BE WARNED TRAVELLERS BREAKFAST NOT GOOD AND CAR PARK ROBBERY.

Room Tip: The rooms are bit on the small side, no bath. Reguest bath!

We arrived quite late at night, the first room they gave us stank of vomit and the carpet was soaking wet. Clearly staff had tried to clean it up and had left the window open with the air con on max to try and get rid of the stench. They were not successful. We had to change rooms and the second one was ok, but they really are VERY basic. The reception people were very apologetic and offered us free breakfast to compensate for the trouble, but we couldn't take advantage as we had other plans for the next morning. During the night we were disturbed several times until about 6 am by noisy guests returning to their rooms, and we had a scary encounter with a drunk in the lift. Then when we checked out we found they had given us someone else's bill.

We were due to stay at the Hilton hotel on Saturday 1 Oct but they closed because of a powercut and sent us to the Jury's instead. The staff at Jury's couldn't have been nicer about the situation and made us very welcome even though they were very busy. The two girls Jade and Helen were lovely and really looked after us, telling us all about the union march in the city and making sure we didn't get caught in it, the manager even drew us a map of the route. Breakfast was very busy but the staff were pleasant and the food was lovely. The room was nice and clean but it was very expensive although we were told this was because it was busy and we were booked last minute. We will definately stay here next time and definately not at the Hilton!!!

The location was good. Walking distance to hotels and restaurants. 8 sterling cab ride to Manchester United. Felt safe walking even at night.

Walked around sightseeing. Canal behind hotel. was very nice inside. Room was a good size and was nice and clean. Staff was helpful and restaurant very nice. Breakfast was worth the money.

Room Tip: Canal view was nice.

Stayed over for a works night out in Manchester, good location and in easy walking distance of the pubs and restaurants we visited.

Have stayed here several times and the standard is always good, the rooms are clean and of a decent size, only slight comment is the light switch for the bathroom is next to the door to the room and not the bathroom. Breakfast is always well stocked and of a reasonable quality

I know this is a budget hotel and before booking I was not expecting anything too fancy. However I did feel that this hotel lacked in a couple of areas. The food in the bar isn't great and is not that cheap on which level I must say for a budget hotel, the bar is very pricey and is not very well stocked as I asked for four different drinks before they had one of them. The rooms are clean, but very small, the staff are lovely if not very experienced. Location is perfect for anyone who wants to stay in the centre of Manchester. It is just a 10 minute walk. But I do feel that they could have done a bit better for the prices.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the larger double rooms, some of them are tiny and really not suitable for two people...
