A modern hotel with a bit of character. Easy to get to all key areas of the city. A big lounge bar with a giant screen so handy when big games are on. Also a nice outside terrace for that odd sunny day in Manchester :-) all the staff we engaged with were very nice and had a bit of personality about them (not always the case) which made our stay even more pleasant. I'll be back.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better for less noise

Paid £215 each night room only - had to pay a further £70 for breakfast for 2 days. No extra bed in room - staff running around Hotel 10pm at night trying find bed as reception had forgotten to request bed, Rude bar staff - charged us £3 tray charge to bring 2 drinks from bar to our seats 2 metres from the bar, housekeeping didn't clean room for 2 days, room service tray left from Saturday morning until Sunday - tray was still there when we checked out. Concierge wouldn't let us park in Hotel car spaces as wanted charge £16 each night to park the car - don't mind paying the charge but saying dinner guests get priority over Hotel guests is a bit bizarre. Breakfast queues were horrendous - uncleared tables. Stained curtains in bedroom, This Hotel will not get our custom again - certainly put us off Marriott Hotels.

Favourite marriot hotel, with location right in the city centre of manchester. Parking is just over £10

Rooms: traditional + modern twist, really nice rooms and the rooms are quite spacious with the usual comfortable beds.

Staff: friendly and helpful.

If you want a relaxing, spacious room and a luxury experience go ahead with it. You'll enjoy your stay as its right in the city centre. Perfect.

Stayed two weeks at this hotel, beds were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel. Rooms and interior of hotel has been refurbish, they are still working on refurbishing the exterior (scaffolding up in places). Bathroom sink water spout is unusual, it doesn't mix the hot and cold water, the water exits out of the end of the one spout but through separate openings. You can burn the left half of your hand and freeze the right, you just got to get use to the arrangement.
I would definitely stay here again.

I had to stay in Manchester recently, I had stayed at the Victoria and Albert many years ago and fpund it to be tired and also didnt find the staff to be too friendly either. So I stayed elsewhere.
I was alone and a little apprehensive. I neednt have been.
What a lovely welcome I received!
The staff on the front desk were great. Also the breakfast staff, couldnt do enough for me.
I would definitely stay again and recommend to others
Well done and thanks to all

We stayed at this hotel when visiting Manchester for a gig which happened to be just down the road.

The location is good, just outside town but within easy walking distance to the centre and Deansgate. There is a NCP car park next door that cost £8 for 24hrs this works out cheaper than the hotels parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a slight problem with our check in as we had family discount and I hadn't printed it out correctly, but the guy who dealt with us was great and sorted us out very quickly.

The room was well presented, a good size and very clean. There was however a function that evening and the noise got fairly loud at some points.

Overall we were very happy with our stay, and we would stay again.
