Superb stay. Couldnt fault it one ounce.
Far better value than the Midland, Lowry, Radisson etc.

Stayed here for two nights using Marriott Points. Service was excellent, room was beautiful, very spacious, comfortable beds. Sleep quality would have been better if we could have adjusted the room temperature. It was too hot at night and windows don't open. No internet service available in room, which is a drawback. Hotel is in a safe location, but out of the way. 20 minute walk to Arndale, which is the city center. Advertised health club/spa, included in room, is 10 minute walk.

Stayed at Victoria and Albert after recommendation and we were not disappointed!!!!!From intial valet car-parking to departure nothing could be faulted.Had orginally booked for one night stay but on request able to stay extra night,no need for room change, everything taken care of by reception and housekeeping staff, housekeeping even found and delivered phone charger for us to use.Bar area comfortable staff friendly-not just doing their job, breakfast has something to suit even the fussiest of eaters-ask my husband!Lucky to be given a suite on checkin and not dissappointed at all-lvly character from old warehouse to hotel-excellent!!!!!!!!

Stay or visit here several times a year for work.

It's a Mariott...... you know what you're going to get - but with above average staff in my experience. Very easy to find and as close as any hotel to the end of the M62/602/A57 into Manchester. !0-20mins walk from anything in central Manchester including Oxford Road station and Chinatown, a bit longer from Piccadilly - probably worth getting the tram from Piccadilly or a taxi. Right next to Granada TV studios.

The beds are great. Really really comfortable and the softest egyptian cotton sheets. Some of my taller colleagues who got rooms on the 3rd floor and above struggled with low ceilings - but I'd say a bit of character adds to the stay. I like the converted cotton mill with the beams and the stonework. Food is good. Not great, but consistently good.

The staff mostly try very hard to help - the valet parking is occasionally a help after a a late arrival and a long day with lots to unload ready for the next day's work. But it's £14 a day as against £6 a day in the open air car park next door.

Sometimes the events staff are a bit inconsiderate - noise at the end of a workshop as they are setting up an evening event next door.

But overall it works, the prices are not cheap but as good as anywhere else half-decent in Manchester, and the service is better.
