“Best location on airport.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2011

Stayed one night prior to a transatlantic flight.
2 minute walk to terminal 2.
No waiting for shuttle bus...result.
Room was Italian themed. Bed was ok but not the best for my comfort.
Restaurant was very pricey but balanced this with view of runway and convenience so was happy.

Best location for the night before jetting off. Covered walkway to terminal 2 - (great for the British weather .....rain!)

Food - acceptable, pricey and alright for one meal. We intend to eat out next time. Breakfast in the departure lounge at Frankie & Bennys!

Drinks - again pricey - average for UK hotels!, Take a bottle of wine with you and enjoy it watching TV in Bed! (kids sleep in ajoining room watching the planes)

Clean, perfect airport stay, would also use for a weekend in the area, but would recommend Victoria & Albert Marriot for stays "in" Manchester, with walking distance to great restaurants and bars.

Thank you for your feedback. Next time you are at the Hotel take the children to the Observatory suite. It is on the 9th Floor and offers sensational views over the Airport. My son loves it.

Location perfect for station and the terminals, short covered walk to any of them.
Reasonable price for accommodation. The room was very well equipped, quiet, cool, comfortable, free internet. Had a problem with the TV, someone came within 3 minutes!
Pricey but OK food, only negative was ridiculously expensive breakfast (eat at the terminal if you can wait).

Had to stay 2 nights as was meeting family one day and seeing off someone next day. Room ok but booked twin beds. Unfortunately, these were pushed together and couldn't be moved very much - difficult when sharing with ex-daughter-in-law! Products in bathroom not brilliant. Bacon and scrambled egg at breakfast rather under-cooked both mornings. Only advantage was I could walk between a couple of the terminals to pass time. Charged for 2 small wines with meal when only had 1. Explained I would have had a large one if I was going to drink that much! Made to feel uncomfortable trying to sort this out. However, as a one-night base with early flight, will probably use again just for the location.

I appologise for the problems you experienced with the room type, breakfast & wine. This is not representative of our usual standards and I certainly hope you will return so we can demonstrate our true levels of hospitality.

The location of this hotel could not be better for airport travellers. We travelled to Manchester airport by train and on exiting the train did not have to leave the airport complex at all. A moving covered walkway takes you to the hotel which is situated halfway between the train station and terminal 2 departures. The hotel is super clean and very quiet. We only had the basic standard room but it had all the amenities you would expect. The beds were fantastically comfortable and we had a super nights sleep. In the morning you just step on the moving walkway right outside the front of the hotel and you are in departures. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel as I thought it was quite expensive - about £20 per person for English breakfast. We had breakfast in the airport at Frankie and Bennys for £8 each and it was very good!. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again when flying from Manchester.

We stopped here for 1 night before an early flight to Mexico and paid for 2 weeks parking. I cant say anything negative about the hotel. The check in was smooth, room plenty equipped and big enough for the short stay and we never heard anyone in the other rooms. When we returned our car keys were waiting (it is parked a short distance from the hotel).
The best thing about this hotel though has to be the location-you leave the 1st floor lobby and take a short walk through into the terminal. No transfers/taxis/shuttlebus when you land after a 10hr flight!
The only slight downside to the hotel is that you can only really eat in the hotel, there is nowhere in walking distance, having said that the food was good.

Location is great, just a few minutes from taxing the gate I had a room. Booked a business class room as they, at all Radisson, has free breakfast as well as Nespresso machine. Room was at the highest floor with a floor-to-ceeling window. It's not the most contemporary styled room and not as roomy as I prefer, but well designed. The set-up of the wardrobe, bed and desk make the room special and very functional. TV is small and only 8 channels, I don't know if it was something wrong with the TV in my room or that the standard? Usually its free movie-channels in the business class room but not in this case. Functional bathroom with floor heating, a pleasant and appreciated surprise! Towels and linnen could need an upgrade to live up to expectations.

A truly advantage for this hotel is the excellent food- and beverage facilities. The restaurant with airport view is great. Tasty food, pleasant size portions as well as excellent service. The service was much better than expected and really top-notch. Breakfast buffet was well done with several items and again excellent service. They cook to order eggs and other items just like you want them. I think that english breakfast buffets overall is missing the choice of vegetables but not the buffet here. I didn't visited the fitness center, but saw it has a pool. I used the free internet and is was strong connection.

As a sweden you are honored to have a picture of your king and queen by the entrance. The decór should need a fresh-up to take the hotel into the 2010-era, but it is not that old that they have to do something immediately. Would definitely stay here again - the other airport hotels need to work very hard to beat the experience at Radisson!
