“Cure your airport blues”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

Stayed overnight before catching a plane the next day. Arrived at the station walked to the hotel. Very convenient and efficient. Comfortable bed slept well. Easy walk next morning to the terminal. Good value and no worries.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room

We stayed here for one night as a birthday treat (plane spotting) the view from the room was fantastic of the runway and would recommend to anyone who likes to watch the world and planes go by from the comfort of your room.
Unfortunately we were getting a flight in the morning this time but slept soundly, no slamming doors or being woken by other guests. Just minutes from t1 and t2.
Staff were really helpful too.

Stayed overnight in December 2013 - £84.00, stayed overnight in May £92.00. Overnight price today for a date I want in September £169.00. Spoke to the hotel earlier today and was told there had been a "small increase" Wow!! doubled in seven months, What is a large increase? Hotel is well situated with good rooms but not worth £169.00 per night even for the convenience of being at centre of airport.

Thank you for your review.
Pleasing to hear of your overall favourable impression held.
I am sorry that you are unable to obtain the rate you desire for your future stay. Pricing is determined by demand; a similar pricing strategy to that of the airlines and used in all hotels. Typically, the further out you book, the better the rate.
While our new and refurbished product does indeed warrant an increase in rate, I assume the price that has been quoted for the your date is more due to the volume of business already booked. I am more than happy to assist you with your future reservation if you would like to email me directly (michael.weston@Radissonblu.com) with your requirements.
Once again, thank you for your review. I do hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
Michael

Stayed for one night in a standard room.
Checkin and out were ok.

Location:
It is easy to walk to the hotel from the terminals. Just perfect for a stay before or after a flight.

Rooms:
Nothing special. Bed is okay. I had a good sleep.
Quiet.

Overall: If you need to stay at MAN airport, then it this hotel is a good choice.

like this hotel for the location it is easy to get to the terminals, a bit farther from terminal 3 but still not too bad.it as been refurbished and is comfortable clean and the staff nice, parking can get a bit full at peak periods however park and stay is efficient and they only put about 12 miles round trip on your car removal while you are away. the food is good , bit expensive compared to some of the hotels on the airport but i think it is worth it.

Room Tip: we paid extra to have a runway view if you are interested it is good

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night and did park & fly. The hotel is easy to get to when you reach the airport. The parking worked out very well, I wasn't sure how easy it would be on collection 16 nights later but it went very smoothly.
We chose a deluxe room which was very comfortable and nicely furnished. We had a couple of drinks in th bar and ate in the restaurant- the meal was actually very nice. Just watch out as there is nowhere else at the airport to eat or drink in any of the terminals so you are really left with no alternative other than using the hotel for this. Thankfully we did enjoy what we had. I would recommend the hotel for ease of any of the terminals and also for the long stay car parking.

Great location and well insulated from sound, so you are not disturbed by the planes.

Check in was quite efficient and the business class room was very comfortable and had the amenities as described on their website. The room was very clean.

The bar area is disappointing, as we arrived late and the restaurant was almost closing, we went to drink in the bar but it has no windows and no view of the airport, unlike the restaurant with great views over the airport.
Drinks were ok but pricey and about what you expect for a chain hotel like this.

Breakfast was great. You sit in the restaurant and have the nice view but also the selection was very good. Its all self service apart from the hot drinks that are brought to the table. The selection is really large and should cater for all and the quality is good as well. Despite us going down much later to breakfast than most, everything was really well stocked. It is one of the best breakfast in my experience of the Radisson chain.

We were upgraded because of our Radisson gold card, but frequent travellers be warned, they only upgrade the room and do not allow you to use the facilities such as the executive lounge. A little strange, as you don't get much as a gold card with them, such as the welcome gift they always promise but so far I have never ever received one. So if you need/want the facilities, don't rely on the upgrade and book the correct room choice. I did go up and look in the exec lounge and it is very nice.

Overall a good stay and reasonable rate with good airport access directly linked to the walkway. We will stay here again if we need to be near the airport.

Room Tip: Business class rooms are really nice, try to get one overlooking the airport apron.

Thank you for your review.
I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It is always a pleasure to welcome back our valued Club Carlson Members and I am pleased that you felt recognised. I am however unsure as to why you were not offered the use of the lounge along with your upgrade as this is not the norm - please accept my apologies for this.
I do hope you will choose to return. Should you require assistance with making reservations, please do not hesitate (Michael.weston@radissonblu.com). Equally, if you make your reservation independently, please do let me know when you are returning so I may look after your requirements personally, and ensure you are extended these facilities.
Once again, thank you for your review.
Best regards,
Michael
