As this hotel was advertised on booking.com as a boutique hotel I booked a double room for me and my wife. On arrival we entered through the pub which was not nice at all. The reception was overly decorated, receptionist unwelcoming. It was our first time in manchester but did not feel welcomed at all. We were given a key and had to find the room ourselves. Once we did we were upset to find the room was freezing and heating not on. Floors were creaky and i swear the bed felt as if it was sloping down and uneven. When we complained about how cold our room was we were told to try adjusting the heater ourselves. Breakfast timings were not mentioned. We were offered another room which was much better. However getting any sleep was impossible as the boiler outside our room kept us awake. Could not wait to check out to another hotel!
