First took my children here some 20years ago, it was great then but returned recently with my 8 year old granddaughter who absolutely loved the visit. We spent five hours exploring and experimenting and they flew by. Of course some areas are quite advanced for an 8 year old but all the more reason to keep going back as she grows. Definitely a must in the school holidays, it's free for the most part.

Such a fantastic museum because it's so varied. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Manchester. It provides a good history of what Manchester has given the world in terms of science and technology.
Watch out for special exhibitions and activities that are constantly renewed in there.

The Museum is a fascinating day out. It is so informative and there is something here for everyone. There are Steam engines, Airplanes, and very interesting rooms with the up and coming Manchester
