We walked past this on the way to the Coronation Street tour. We went to look around the museum and it is an amazing place to visit for both adults and children. Lots of interactive things for the children to do and learn from. 5 buildings all about different things and it is all FREE!!

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

A really impressive Museum with something for everyone - a good way to spend a few of hours in Manchester with plenty to see with regard to our industrial past. Incredibly, entry to the museum is free, but donations are welcome. There are 5 impressive historic buildings full of items of interest concerning Manchester's local history and its role as a major industrial city, as well as some good science exhibits, although the latter were of less interest to us personally. Certainly well worth a visit.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

Firstly this place is pretty big as it is essentially spread over five buildings each within the same complex and within easy reach of each other. There is a broad range of exhibits ranging from textiles to old computers to aircraft. It is quite easy to spend several hours here and there is plenty of interaction for youngsters and oldsters alike.
