Exellent hotel for what you pay, staff are great ,nothing is a problem to them.
I have stayed here many times and always found it comfortable. It is only 2 mins into town. Breakfasts are good value , and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Its no problem to staff if you need extra towels, pillows etc.

Some Ibis's can be a bit hit and miss. This one was modern, comfortable, excellent condition (room and common areas), pleasant bar and breakfast area. Parking across the road in the multi-storey car park (£2 per day+night at weekend, more in week). Easy walk to pubs and bars around Oxford Road station. Easy to find from the ringroad. Stayed here mainly because on a busy weekend the Premier Inn were charging a lot more. Personally I prefer the Premier Inn but for the better rate I was very happy to stay in the Ibis instead. And they no longer charge for internet access which used to be a big negative. (NB As with other reviews, walking back at 2.30am I noticed a lot of noise from club opposite. My room was on other side so it didn't affect me - but worth bearing in mind when you book.) Otherwise very good.

Room Tip: Ask for quiet room

I was in an upper floor, but there was a lot of noise from a ner club. In fact if you are staying in the second floor you can hear the music from he corridor. If you need silence, I do not think that you can sleep before 3am.
The size of the room was right for what you are paying, and you get free wifi, but the room and the carpet were really dirty. If you have got some kind of allergy you should avoid this place.
I used the iron room and the cover of the table was burned.
About the breakfast: the tables are just in front of the elevator. You can get a right buffet breakfast. Eggs, bacon and sausages were fine. The juice was a kind of prepared juice (I was not expecting fresh orange juice for £70/night in Manchester), but hot chocolate was one of the worst that I have seen in my life. I was not able of finishing it.
The staff was always extremely kind.

Fantastic Hotel, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable and the beds are great. Food excellent. Will definitely stay there again. Only downside it was quite noisy until about 2am as there are a couple of clubs situated across the road but after about half an hour it was possible to phase the noisy patrons out,

Room Tip: Ask for a room the opposite side of the hotel from the clubs if possible

It's a Thursday night, the room overlooks a busy nightclub and it's obvious I'll get no sleep tonight. This despite being up on the sixth floor. Have called reception (the so-called 15 minute guarantee of fixing any problems with your room) , there are no other rooms I can be moved to so I'm stuck with it. For the last three hours all I have had is the constant hammering of a bass drum peppered with the yells of revellers queuing to get in. It's actually so loud that I can see the vibration in the bottle of water on my desk. I'd just finished setting up for a trade show tomorrow and got to my room at 11pm hoping simply for somewhere to get some rest before a busy day. I would never stay in this room again even if I was paid to. It's 2am and even louder than it was at midnight.

Pointed out to Ibis that there are (1) a total of eight of us staying here from our company over three days and (2) they have other branches in Manchester that they could move me to if they valued customer care. Have called reception again to give them another chance to put things right but it isn't happening so feel I am totally justified to say:

Never stay here.
