“Wonderful food”

We have been many times and the food is consistently of a very high quality. We particularly love the soft shell crabs for a starter and the Mongolian lamb.

“Do NOT go here!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2012

Don't waste your time or money going here, the food is absolutely vile! The starters were lovely but the mains are disgusting! My dad and I had 'salt and pepper chicken' if that's what you can call it, in actual fact it was tiny bits of watery, rubbery chicken that wasn't even battered, with the tiniest bit of diced veg for £8! I had to buy sides separately which was a joke and my mum had 'special chow mein', it was special alright, just not in a good way! The chicken was grey, rubbery and looked like it had been cooked for a week, the prawns stunk, the veg was mushy and watery and it had no taste or flavour whatsoever! All together the meal came to over £50 for the 4 of us and it was not worth it at all! Ignore all the other reviews unless you're not fussy about your food or your money and go across the road to the Indian restaurant the Sangam and get a beautiful meal for £10!!

“Good meal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2012

Actually really nice food, altho beware if you use a 2 for 1 Hi Life card here as on both occsions I did a mystery item that wasnt ordered appeared of approx the value that had been discounted, the restaurant rectified it on noticing but I wonder how many people miss it.

Also even when fairly empty on a weeknight the service is really slow, where the waiter prefers to tidy empty tables rather than serve/take our orders when we were one of three tables in the restaurant. Having said that the food is excellent but the poor slow service is a big let down.

“A great place for a quick, tasty lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2011

We stopped here for a quick-ish lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The set menu had sufficient choices and good prices. Service was efficient and friendly. Food was well prepared, above average for this sort of place. Greater Manchester could do with more such establishments, as all too many of its ethnic places regrettably are not up to scratch, despite the city's 'international' reputation..

“Great meal, great quality and a good price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2011

Went there on 25th June. Walked down Wimslow Rd looking for a restaurant. Terrible to park around here. I always prefer oriental cuisine. The Chinese across the road looked a bit pricey so we decided to go here.
I had hot & sour soup (very good, great flavour), Mongolian Lamb (very tender), Tamarind Duck (superb) and Chicken Pad Thai (delicious). Would definitely recommend this place. The service was spot on.
