Staff were very pleasant ladies, at first room seemed ok, closer look it was filthy! walls paper thin, kept up all night by a gospel choir 'partying' heater got dangerously hot. Had a drink in the bar in the foyer prostitutes being brought onto the premises by guests, glad I didn't bring my daughter to this place! Made a hasty exit to the holiday inn 1 mile up the road for an extra £20 slept well that night! Won't be going back to the cubic zirconia hut!!!

Good : Price, cleanliness, free wifi, facilities in room, great buffet "full english" breakfast.
and best point - the staff - friendly, polite and smiling faces.

Not so good : Don't , don't stay in rooms 201 thru 216, or 301 - 316 - they are directly
adjacent to main through road - and you hear every car , truck and bike that passes- I could not sleep (unfortunately - no earplugs with me).

In fairness until I tried to sleep, everything was right, andfor the price I was most impressed with the modest but tidy hotel. It's probably no more than 6/7 miles into central Manchester,
directly opposite the Greyhound and speedway track, plenty of free and safe parking. Just the issue with the glazing noise insulation, other than that good clean, comfortable overnight, reasonable rate, plenty of parking, good breakfast and good fast free wifi.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms giving onto Hyde Road.

I booked this hotel based on its proximity to the Manchester Apollo, a decision I now realise was not the best I have ever made. I can't normally fault the £45 it was for a double room and breakfast however on this occasion I can. I was put into a disabled room for some reason, the room itself was extremely basic and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The bed was the smallest double that I have ever seen and led to an uncomfortable night sleep. The receptionist who booked us in had clearly never been informed of the saying 'service with a smile'. The breakfast was poor quality with orange squash instead of juice and a toaster that was clearly damaged and reduced anything put into it to ashes. The bread was covered in a tea towel and every slice was hard or stale. We also had the added entertainment of a coach load of Irish Manchester United fans at breakfast. All in all this was a thoroughly unforgettable stay but for all the wrong reasons.

Not the savoy but the cleanest roomanon city centre in Manchester. Parking is plentiful with a very well priced restaurant and bar, all this just 400 yards from Belle Bue train station into the heart of Manchester.

Staff are helpful and smart and the hotel suits both business and pleasure.

All in all use this budget hotel in preference to any other chain....cheaper and better!

Not bad budget accomodation for about £50 per room per night. Located in Gorton just a few miles outside the city centre. Rooms were clean though a bit small and basic, breakfast was decent and staff were friendly.
