“Saturday night stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

Stayed the one night on this recently refreshed hotel. Room wash large, fresh, clean and tidy with no frills. Comfy bed but a shortage of power sockets. Thought we would be disturbed as there were several hen and stag parties staying but we enjoyed a quiet night. Did not try the bar or breakfast. Hotel car park has only 50 spaces and we were lucky to get one at 5 on Saturday evening. Spaces are tight and getting round the pullers is tricky. At £7.50 for 24 hours it is worth it. All round good value

Hotel was a bit tired. The family room was a good size but room was very dated. The dream sleeper beds are not exactly comfortable but adequate. Breakfast was ok but not restocked while I was there and my wife found hairs in the food. When we arrived reception said we would have to pay £10more if we wanted to check in early even though we were only an hour early and it was pouring with rain outside. An average stay for a reasonable price

The staff at Travelodge Manchester Central were brilliant, they went way above and beyond. From arriving too early to check-in to wishing us a safe journey home when we left. We we there for the cricket and they organised taxies to and from the ground. Loaned us umbrellas as there was rain. Took care of check-in as we sat in the bar. Advised us of local restaurants. Would use this Travelodge again

Stayed here for one night after the test match at Old Trafford. For £40 a room I honestly don’t think you will find a nice hotel. Very clean and nice big rooms, could not have found anything to grumble about.

Parking was only £7.50 for 24 hours and location is good for Deansgate/Arndale and central Manchester. Only a ten minute walk to get on the tram to Old Trafford which was good for the cricket.

All in all for the money there can’t be anywhere that beats it!

Great location for shops and attractions. The hotel had a car park and easy walking to the Coronation Street set.We had a room for three and we had plenty of space in the room .We had breakfast which was also very good.

Stayed here for two nights with my wife and two children. Self-check-in worked well (only one room card though when it's often convenient to have two). Our room was on the second floor at the front and was very spacious, which was good, thought it meant the tv was a long way from the bed (you just can't please some people!)

Shower was a bit weak but the bathroom was clean. The room had no air-con and as it was lovely weather we had to leave the window open. The alarm going off across the street for numerous hours and the temperature of the room meant a disrupted sleep.

The guy in the restaurant at breakfast was very friendly and there was plenty to choose from to eat.

Great value overall, but irritated that we couldn't leave our luggage while we spent our last day in the city (they have no space or insurance for this). A trip to the Museum of Science and Industry revealed free lockers that were just big enough for a decent sized suitcase - and the museum is definitely worth a visit too.

It's a Travelodge, but it's a good one.
Large room, immaculately clean.
Location is superb 5 minute stroll to the heart of the city.
Car park available, but only if selfish people don't do their park where they want thing.
Will I come back....definitely.
