We attended an evening function here and were amazed at the versatility and unique character of the building. We were able to wander around freely and it really had a sense of nostalgia. It really is worth a visit the workmanship of the external and internal features is quite beautiful.
If I lived in the area I'd certainly attend more. I believe they have beer& gin festivals here but it's worth a visit to see how it was back in the day when the women got the dirtiest water and bathing was gender segregated!

You have to be a good age to remember the baths being like this. Able to have a quick look around during an open day for market stalls and crafts. Ideally about 30 min.

Hi David, could we please ask when you visited Victoria Baths on an Open Day with market/craft stalls? The building was originally open from 1906 - 1993 so there are still quite a lot of people around who remember it in operation.

Many thanks

We came here on a weekend open day. I have always wanted to visit since seeing the baths win 'Restoration' on the TV. I was not disappointed. We had a great guided tour with a really knowledgeable guide and also really enjoyed wandering around ourselves too. Wow!! We were wowed by the wonderful tile work, mosaics and gorgeous stained glass. Although there is so much work to still be done, also so much has already been achieved, and the commitment, dedication and passion of those involved shines through. We were very impressed. Also had a delicious middle eastern lunch from one of the street food stalls. Thank you so much Victoria Baths and all those who love her. Xx

Actually, I've never been inside, but since this place was quite close to my place, i used to take this route on my way home, only to enjoy the facade of this building, which is incredibly beautiful, a true gem of the mancunian architecture.
