After paying a deposit at the Lawn Club only to arrive and be told they had no food (seriously) we managed to get in here on a busy Sat night. It's probably going to be an unfair review, as by this time of the evening most of us would have taken Satan as a waiter and chewed on his BBQ hooves. Good news is it's all ok, actually, ok + you might say. The food is tasty, most of it not overpriced, and staff friendly. A good place for groups to go.

Visited with friends and was very impressed with how quickly our food arrived, but it was quiet so to be expected I suppose. Ordered pulled pork with coleslaw and jalapeño cornbread with a side of fries as suggested by the waiter...pork could have done with a bit more seasoning (and I'm not a big salt fan) and the cornbread was pretty bland. The great sauces providrd at the table made up for it, though. Had chocolate and blueberry cheesecake for pudding which was amazing! Ok for a mid week tea but wouldn't bother for a special occasion.

Visited with friends on a mid week evening. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly quite but service was a bit slow. Not really much to say about the food - it was average and although we all said it was ok we all agreed we wouldn't be in a rush to visit again. After sampling another similar type restaurant in Manchester prior, thus restaurant fell short - it was simply not as good. Elements of the food when arrived were not as the menu described. When this was raised with the waiter this was put rectified to some description. We were disappointed also that they had ran out of our choose deserts. We also thought that it was in inadequate that there was only one ladies toliet. Having to wait for the toliet whilst your food is getting cold on the table is not ideal. Staff were ok.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary and we were not disappointed.

Although we'd booked we had to wait a few minutes for our table but this was not an issue as the staff were so welcoming and we had a drink in the bar.

The food was really tasty. For starters we had nachos, really good. However in hindsight the main course would have been enough, eyes too big for our bellies. I had mini burgers for the main, so cute, don't let the word 'mini' fool you, it was very filling. The main was so tasty, my favourite burger was the pulled pork one, really good!

Would definitely come here again, great atmosphere and would like to leave room for a pudding next time! Although the food is quite traditional American style, there's something quite different about the place.

We showed up at Southern Eleven on a Saturday night without a reservation and were greeted by a really pleasant member of the front of house staff who said we could have a table in half an hour. We were more than happy with this and took a seat at the bar (which is really nice). I had the most delicious mocktail which had fresh blackberries in it. Once seated, we opted for the chicken wings to start and they were the best we have ever tasted (no exaggeration - and we have eaten a lot of chicken wings). The sauce was generous, juicy and smoky. We had sandwiches for our mains - the chicken and the pulled pork. Both were really good and great value for money (£7.95 each). From the look and location of the restaurant, we expected the food to be much more expensive than it is and were pleasantly surprised. All in all, a really nice experience - there is certainly no faulting the food we had. We would have given the restaurant 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for our rather miserable waiter(!) This is a shame because the guy who originally greeted and seated us, and who popped up every now and then during the meal was lovely.
