I'm not sure how IHG choose their staff in the Crowne Plaza or other Holiday Inn Express locations, but we've never have a bad stay in any of the locations. I could praise each aspect of the stay at the MEN, or simply say that it's as great as the HIE Oxford Road.

It's five minutes walk from the station and has a supermarket just outside the front door. If you are a tourist, business traveller or just seeking a refuge after a party night - this will be perfect for you!

Stayed here after going to a concert at the nearby arena. This is a lovely modern hotel although we had a room overlooking the building site. I wasn't impressed being woken up at 8.00am to the sounds on hamering and drilling. The room was spacious and very clean, bathroom was great with a huge walk-in shower. Breakfast was complimentary which was a bonus. Staff were polite and nothing was to much trouble.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms above the main entrance side of the hotel, which overlooks the building work!

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel, and as always, Holiday Inn Express offered a fantastic stay and experience!

Staff were great and friendly, room and bathroom immaculate and breakfast just perfect. The bed was very comfortable. Room had all te facilities for work.

Hotel interior were clean and fresh.

The location is great - close to the station and some great restaurants.

Thanks for a great stay! I'll definitely be back soon. You are doing the Holiday Inn brand proud.

We did have problems in getting to the hotel by car, when you see the sign to the hotel take that inmediate left, at the sign, otherwise you are stuck on the one-way system, at the hotel, there are some building work going on at present which doent help in parking your car to unload your suit cases, you must get your car-park pass from the reception first to use the local car park 3min walk only, the reception staff was very polite, the room was very clean and presentable, lovely shower and good heating system, i felt the kettle in boiling for a cup of tea or coffee, was placed at an awkward angle fixed to the point that you had to put your hand over the steam to get to the handle of the kettle, a minor issue but not thought out.
We was on floor 7 which had a lovely view and quiet, very comfortouble bed, room size was ideal for what we wanted.
Breakfast let it down for me no bacon or fried egg, it was sausages, beans, toast and scrambled egg which was a bit grey and off putting, the usual cereals, yogurts and fruit, with funny small crossants, pointless to me, being a full English breakfast lover on hol's.
Very nice hotel, i wouldn't say no to anyone going, as i found the price was very good for Manchester.

Room Tip: Any room above floor 1 i would recommend for quietness.

We stayed at the hotel during a girlie weekend theatre trip, The staff were lovely, especially having to deal with a difficult guest during breakfast. The hotel was spotless and the location is perfect for shopping.

Probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, could have eaten a meal off of the bathroom floor and surfaces. Only reason I've given a 4 instead of a 5 is the bed. It was a small double which you don't expect in any hotel nowadays. It was comfy but not roomy enough for two very average build people.

The location is fabulous, just round the corner from the Debenhams/Primark corner and just round the corner from the Arndale (meat hall entrance) and the Printworks.

Breakfast was a nice free bonus, sausage, beans and scrambled egg, plenty of cereal, yoghurts and fruit, tea, coffee etc, fruit juices and toast.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 223 very quiet but due to it's location i can't see how any of the rooms w...
