People were so friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous shopping experience at Boots where we had a scent bottle engraved - thank you Gwen. Chantel at MacDonaldHotel and Spa was great. We will be back soon.

Friendly pub, just over the road from Piccadilly station. Good range of beers and decent pub food ( mash and gravy with lamb shanks was yummy). A welcoming place and no TV when we visited, would have been happy to stay all evening.

The pub brands itself as the local in the city and thats about right. Cracking real ale, nice blend of customers and felt comfortable taking my wife there. Not tried the food but great for a pint before or after getting the train.

The Bulls Head is located between the train station and the Macdonalds Manchester hotel, at a big intersection, where you wouldn't expect a nice place - but it is one.

Interior is not very fancy, but comfy and authentic. Nice selection of beers to choose from. Not the place to go for a gourmet dinner, but you can have very decent pub food at a reasonable price. Had the fish & chips: Not a gigantic serving, but good fish, good batter and almost perfectly fried. The curry apparently isn't bad either.

But most of all it was the very friendly staff who contributed to make this a very enjoyable evening. Thanks!

Found myself here with a group of friends, and I'm glad we chose this pub as our meeting point for the night out. The beer was good (Wychwood "Dirty Tackle"), the staff were friendly and the atmosphere in the bar was welcoming.
