Lovely converted house in leafy Didsbury. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. Bar and lounge areas are relaxing and quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly. Didsbury itself is packed with bars and restaurants but not much else if you're looking for something to do or shop. We hopped on the train to head into Manchester one day which was very easy and quick, the station is a short walk from the hotel.

This is a lovely small hotel - friendly and beautifully decorated. A very good option when visiting Manchester but not wanting to be in the city centre at night. It has lovely lounge areas to sit around if you wish. Just a couple of quibbles- the room was so hot that I found it claustrophobic and I couldn't sleep, so I suggest checking the temperature before settling down for the night as I presume it can be adjusted. Secondly, there seemed to be understaffing at breakfast/checkout time, but we may have been unlucky.

This hotel looks great on its web site and in reality it is just as good as the marketing suggests. Great rooms, good beds, excellent power showers and a super bar and breakfast restaurant.

I took my gf here for a treat, and it really was a lovely, relaxing pleasure.

There are many differently themed rooms here, which all look great - modern decor, well specced, very comfy, very clean. We loved our room so much we almost spent our entire two days there, taking advantage of the room service to enjoy some genuinely delicious food in our cosy lounge area, spreading out in our massive, extremely comfy bed, and indulging in the big bath at the end of our bed.

Beautiful surroundings, extremely quiet, attentive but understated service, top rooms, top beds, top food - it's not cheap, but it's proper value for money, and I can't wait to splash out some time again and try their sister hotel in town.

We stayed in one of the villa eclectic rooms and it was lovely.
Really spacious, had a separate living area away from the bedroom.
Service was second to none and the beds are the comfiest I'd ever stayed in.
Would recommend to anybody who wants to stay in Manchester the hotel is close to the city centre and didsbury is full if lovely restaurants and bars.
We payed for the gluttony package extra and the chocolates and Champayne made it extra special.
The Irish breakfast was the best to wake up too in the morning too.

We were dead lucky because we got an upgrade to the top room and loved it. His and hers bath tubs and gorgeous fittings. Dominoes in the bar and a stroll to a fab restaurant in didsbury village.

Just dropped daughter at Manchester uni and wanted to treat ourselves before travelling back. I booked the DHH a few months back, and when checking with staff recently to ensure the booking was still there, I found them responsive and friendly via email. I then received an email a couple of days before travelling to let me know that part of the Hotel had been booked for a private function, however they would ensure we could not be affected. Quite right, they upgraded us to room 50, stunning. Lounge, Bedroom and double roll top bathroom. The room(s) were very clean, very well furnished and equipped. Bed was 'low' to floor, but very comfortable and large. The room is up a couple of flights of stairs, but well worth it. We had room service from a small but well 'equipped' menu and was very tasty. Breakfast was extra, but was again well prepared and served, and although pricey, was worth it for taste, surroundings (old cellar I assume). The Hotel has lovely 'common' rooms again very well presented. All the staff were very polite and welcoming. Yes I know we were treated to an upgrade, but given our experience we will stay there again on our next visit to Manchester. Thanks DHH - a little gem.

Room Tip: Room 50 for a luxurious stay...
