“Gorgeous... and Jam donuts!”
Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

We stayed at the Radisson last night, and it was a gorgeous experience! Our suite on the 6th floor was fabulous - with the biggest, and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The service in every dept was excellent - special thanks to the barman who made us 'jam donuts' in the early hours of this morning! We will be back!

Really good night at this fabulous hotel. All the usual good things you would expect. Pool and sauna/ steam room etc was lovely. Everywhere was spotless and service was excellent. Great nights sleep. Would stay there again.
1 minor gripe - no biscuits in the room!

Visited the Radisson for afternoon tea with friends as a treat for our birthdays. We decided to have the gentleman's version as well as the traditional one so we could share them. The food was amazing! Having been to a variety of hotels in Manchester to experience afternoon tea, nowhere beats the Radisson. Environment, food and service was great. Only criticism was the scones didn't rise! We will be back!

We stayed at the hotel a few years ago and it was a surprise stay for valentines and anniversary this time round. Helpful Front office staff and smiley concierge team. Room attendants were polite and they asked us if we wanted our room cleaned a few hours after check in. There was a surprise "Happy anniversary" chocolate for us also.

The only downfall was that i had asked for room service around 5pm and had spoken to room service and also customer services for this. After calling down to them 5 times we finally received our order 2 hours later just after 7pm!!!!! i could understand if it was food etc. but i had only asked for champagne bucket and 2 flutes..!

We then went to the bar for a drink where the service was also abit slow but our whole stay was enjoyable in general.

I would echo the view that this is currently the best afternoon tea on offer in Manchester.
Go for the "Gentleman's" rather than the traditional, especially if you are hungry or have a good appetite. The small savouries were imaginative and delicious. The sandwiches we got were less imaginative - beef, ham and egg mayonnaise, though more substantial than the finger variety on offer with the traditional tea.
The scones were less well executed - reminiscent of an amateur's first attempt at rock cakes - but were edible. The accompanying dollop of clotted cream was a very generous portion.
Unlike the menu of teas, there is only one blend of coffee available - in various forms : filter, latte etc.
Did we miss the cakes - a resounding "no". There was more than enough to eat - and enjoy.
The friendly staff were a nice bonus too.
Definitely will be recommending to friends

I visited this hotel to use the spa facilities on Saturday 15.02.14. I found the services extremely good and the staff were very helpful. However, I was very dismayed that while I was being handed my key and towel from one of your staff at the sienna reception, I noticed another member of your staff with dark hair laying on the floor. She suddenly jumped up as if startled by my presence. She seemed slightly hungover or ill. May I suggest that if this was the case, she may have been better off somewhere more comfortable than the reception floor. Sorry for the slight negativity on an otherwise good weekend.

I was most concerned to read your comments. Having spoken to the member of staff on duty, she has explained that she was simply picking up some keys which had fallen under the reception desk. I hope this clarifies the situation and am delighted you enjoyed your visit.

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel - took the bed and breakfast option and can say from start to finish nothing was too much trouble. Check in was smooth and straightforward, the room was immaculate and well designed, the little luxuries such as dressing gowns, slippers and toiletries were good quality and smelled divine. The porters were extremely helpful and even provided us with an umbrella to walk out at night. Breakfast was very nicely done with the option to eat from the self service or the menu and nothing was too much trouble for the waitress. It was ideally positioned for the theatre and shopping centre and would recommend to anyone
