“Best in Manchester”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

Another great stay at this fabulous city hotel. The rooms are comfortable with large beds and all the facilities you need. Food at the hotel is excellent and there is a lovely lively bar. As a large chain hotel they have managed to provide something with all the facilities you require but with style, comfort and character not a bland soleless experience. Highly recommend and check their own website for great deals.

We attended a wedding event, we had a fantastic time. Our room had the most comfortable bed, the view was brilliant and the room layout was lovely. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, and we was even allowed a little extra time on check out. breakfast was very good too. We would definitely stay again and next time try out the spa and pool.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to an early morning flight to our holiday
the staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a lovely large ,clean double room with a huge bed.tea and coffee making facilities were provided and we also had an ironing board and iron in the room. On hearing that we were visiting Italy we were advised to have a chat with a member of
staff who came from the area we were visiting, this we did and were advised of some good places to visit and also some helpful phrases. We were very impressed with this lovely hotel and would certainly stay there again if in Manchester.

While a have a few minutes and am just chilling out in the room just thought I'd post a quick review so far... This hotel is awesome!! Came last minute and booked with my husband for his business trip. Friendly smiling staff and concierge upon arrive very informative and helpful. The hotel entrance is lovely and modern with nice decor. The room is really nice. I'm used to London hotels so similar price compared is obviously much in better quality here but I like staying in hotels that have the wow factor and for me this does. The room type is only a king deluxe but all you need and nice and clean, got a phone all after about half an hour of beings here from reception to check everything was ok and up to my satisfaction which I think is a nice touch.. now going to get my nice fluffy complimentary robe on and head down to the basement pool area for some spa time and will be finishing off the evening in the champagne bar. Well got to do something with time while my husband is hard at work!! ;) would definitely recommend this hotel and give it 5 stars.

Best hotel in Manchester by a country mile, and I've stayed in all of the best ones. If you want amazing food, service, relaxation time and a luxurious room then you have to stay here, you just have to. Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself.

Room Tip: Double or King room

The radisson blu edwardian is a well-located modern hotel. But thats' where the positives end. We booked a twin room for our one night stay during the Manchester United & Valencia match and were extremely disappointed with the service. We were at first told that the only room available for us had a double bed. We asked for a pull out or a cot to compensate for this and were told immediately by the receptionist that they 'just couldn't do that'. (We booked via Expedia one month in advance and were told that the chosen rooms are 'not guaranteed' unless booked directly with the hotel) On the day we arrived, it turned out that the Valencia team were staying in the hotel and because of that they were fully booked. It became increasingly obvious that they were happy to rely on the fact that they happen to be located in a city that gets thousands of visitors on a weekly basis during football season and didn't have to make any effort to please guests for future business! This was our first and last time at the hotel. The toilet had excrement around the rim, the staff had an ignorant manner and the place had a very cold and charmless atmosphere. Manchester is wonderful - the Radisson blu Edwardian is not!!

Room Tip: Maybe try book direct through the hotel

Dear Nishant C
I was most concerned to read this review and would like to clrify that room types booked via a 3rd party are on request only. As you may have seen in other reviews the majority of our feedback is very positive so please accept my apologies for this unusual lapse in our normally high standards.

Being a long time music fan, the first thing I was looking forward to was to see how the once famous Manchester concert venue, the Manchester Free Trade Hall has transformed into a five star hotel. Apart from the grandiose facade, you would never know about its illustrious part. The hotel is great, friendly staff, two busy bars. It ia conveniently located next to Manchester Central conference centre and close to the city centre, city hall and the John Rylands Central Library. If you stay here ask for a room with a view on one of the higher floors.
