The hotel and facilities (pool, gym, jacuzzi) are nice, however I am not sure that it is "5 stars" nice. The 4 star Hilton up the street has nicer rooms. The room was clean and relatively comfortable, but I don't think it has anything particularly special to give it that 5th star.

Unfortunately I cannot say anything good about Sienna Spa. The massage I had there was honestly the worst I've ever had. I booked the "Deep Tissue" massage, and there was nothing deep tissue about it. It felt like the lady spent an hour rubbing lotion in. None of the tension or knots were rubbed out in my back. About 10 minutes into the massage I couldn't wait for it to be over.
My boyfriend also had a deep tissue massage at the same time, and his was only marginally better. He also complained that it wasn't actually a "Deep tissue" massage, but in his case she at least tried ot rub some of the tension out of his back.
I should have saved the £60 and stayed in bed.

Thank you for your feedback. The Deep Tissue massage is dependant on individual preference which should be ascertained by the therapist at the start of the treatment. Please accept our apologies that this did not meet your expectations.

We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon and checked in quickly. The hotel is quite impressive and forms part of the Free Trade Hall. We also found out that the hotel is built on the site of the Peterloo Massacre which took place in 1819. Our stay in the hotel coincided with the TUC Conference and the hotel was very busy with delegates.
The hotel is in the heart of the city and is only a short walk from many attractions.
We stayed in a De Luxe Room on the 9th floor which we found extremely comfortable and well furnished. The room also afforded excellent views over the city.
We enjoyed dinner that evening in the hotels Alto Restaurant.
The nearest place to the hotel for parking is the Great Northern NCP Car Park which is just about 100 yards from the hotel on Watson Street. Use Postcode M3 4EG as a SatNav reference.
Customer service from all hotel staff we came into contact with was outstanding.

Very pleased with our stay at the Radisson Edwardian on 17-19 September. The hotel is located in the Free Trade Hall with classic external architecture but inside the hotel extends into a modern building. Great combination of the two and seamlessly classy between the two styles.

The room was very comfortable and smart. Very fresh and impeccably clean. The bathroom has an innovative shower/wet room division that means you still get a separate bathtub. My only constructive point for the hotel rooms is that the TVs are somewhat out of date (squarer screens) and couldn't actually display a television picture properly as both sides of the picture were cropped off!

Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Have submitted a separate review for the Opus One restaurant as this wasn't as successful as the hotel, but the cocktail bar really is pretty good.
