We only found this restaurant a few weeks ago and decided it wouldn't be long before we called in. It is very well hidden, and although the address is Cross Street, you have to pop round the corner into Bow Street for the entrance. We called in for Saturday lunch, arriving at opening time, bang on 12, after a good morning at the Sales! The welcome was friendly, although as we were the first to arrive, I was suprised to be tucked into a corner adjacent to the toilets and underneath the speakers. We each had the Corn Bake which was served with a lovely tomato salad and we had spicy chips with it (had to be done!!). The food was delightful and we will be very happy to visit again. I had the house red wine, which frankly, was not very good (but not awful) and rather let the restaurant down. My OH had Sol lager. The overall impression of the restaurant was very good, especially for an evening event. The menu is sufficiently varied so that everyone should find something they liked, and I bet it's great fun when the restaurant is full in the evening. Sadly, the restaurant was as full when we left as when we arrived; we have never been the only ones in a restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime before!!! But we'll be back, even if it is for a solitary lunch! Or perhaps, dear Reader, you'll be there too.
