My wife and I decided to try Almost Famous after hearing a lot of positive hype surrounding it. For any of you considering the newest scene place to be, don't bother.
The restaurant is staffed by people who couldn't care less about the job they are doing. Having made eye contact with the immaculately coiffeured barman with the well sloganed t-shirt, and even exchanged pleasantries, I was exiled to a 10 minute wait at the bar to order drinks whilst I watched him dancing with an equally trendy waitress.
When the food arrived, it was a great disappointment. A festival of brown with very little fresh about it, and a burger one step up in quality from a McDonalds burger.
Add in the gimmicky atmosphere, and Almost Famous it most certainly is not.
