My son was rather keen on eating at Sanam as he rather liked the starters. The buffet at under £10 per head per adult is good value and it was very busy when we went.
Once again the starters are the pick with the lamb seekh kebab being the standout. The tandoori was good and the fried chicken has improved. Once again the mains could be better. The biryani I had lacked decent pieces of chicken, with more bone than chicken meat.
The desserts really let the side down. You know its not nice when the kids cannot even gulp the ice cream. The again if its Chef Larder brand ice cream, its no surprise made with cheap reconstituted milk solids and vegetable fat its appalling and the restaurants should be ashamed of itself for such cost cutting. The res of the desserts lag behind its rivals, with only one cake offered, also not nice, gulab jamun was on offer but it did not look fully cooked. Given Sanam restaurants also offer Indian sweets and cakes this poor quality is just not on.
However the starters is what makes the food here as well as the price but you can have better with more range in other Manchester buffet restaurants at under 10 pounds a head.
