“Fabulous, Premier experience”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

As always, Premier Inn excelled. An excellent, central location less than five minutes walk from Piccadilly station, the hotel staff were welcoming, the facilities beautifully clean and met all my needs for the stay.

My room had a nice view over the canal with the countryside in the distance - very pleasant. There was a little noise when the bedroom window was open but this to be expected in the centre of a major city. There were also some drunken morons passing at around midnight but this is hardly the fault of Premier Inn. This only lasted a few minutes so wasn't a problem (we can only hope they'd fallen unconscious into the canal!!!)

I'm not sure if this is a newly built hotel or a refurb but either way it could not be faulted. Rather than detailing every little aspect of the décor etc, if you've not stayed at a Premier Inn, just visit the website and browse through the photos, The hotels are pretty similar in their branded, purple appearance and the rooms are equally standardised. However, far from making this a dull experience, the result is a value-for-money, enjoyable and comfortable stay.

In addition, as usual, every member of staff I interacted with was highly trained, courteous, friendly and gave the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. Premier Inn really have got it cracked!!

I stayed here in June 2014 with my partner for a weekend break. The hotel is clean and well maintained and the staff on reception and housekeeping are lovely.
The service at breakfast was slow- you had to wait a good 5 minutes for someone to meet you at the designated area and seat you and the breakfast itself was average.
We didn't eat in the bar/restaurant during our time here but we did have a drink in the bar one evening, the prices are good but the staff were less so. After waiting a while for someone to come to the bar to serve us, the bar maid arrived and we ordered our drinks. I don't think one word was exchanged between myself and the bar maid...which was weird!? Little eye contact, no smile- all in all a very weird service. She did not seem happy at all to be there! So maybe avoid the bar/restaurant area if you go.
Overall I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the only issue I have is due to an error that was made on booking which should have been rectified on check in- which has not happened. But other than that I think it is a lovely place to stay if your in the area.

Stayed here for one night before our flight from Manchester airport. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly train station and therefore very well placed for the city centre. A train to the airport takes about 20 minutes. The hotel is very new so everything is perfect. The restaurant offers a great deal on a 2 course evening meal and breakfast all for about £23.00. The food was also very good. All staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Stayed here during a weekend in the City and could not have asked for more. Excellent location just a short walk from Piccadilly train station, very easy to locate. The hotel is very new and you can tell this as soon as you walk in. The staff on reception were very friendly and even asked where we had come from. The room was perfect for 2 people, with a large king bed and also a single bed. Very clean and spacious, bathroom was spotless. Probably the best shower ive even seen in a hotel, very nice.
Food was available in the bar downstairs, we ate out but the menu did look very nice.
Perfect stay and will definetly be coming back next time were in Manchester.
