“Great for the city centre”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Being only a year or so old means that it's well sound proofed, with air conditioning and phones in the bedrooms.
Spread over 11 floors, there are some great views across the city to be had. Rooms are quite high ceilinged and spacious, with good beds as per all Premier Inns.
Staff efficient and helpful, and very willing to advise on where to go in the city centre.
We ate out for breakfast - there's a great café just across the road and another a short walk along Ducie Street, heading away from Piccadilly - both much better value than the £8.75 per head for breakfast in the hotel; a shame Premier Inn are getting greedy!

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better the view!

Friendly staff on call to deliver a warm welcome and advice on the area, clean new style room which is a step up from some of the older tired looking Premier Inns (I notice that they are currently renovating these rooms), strong wifi signal although there is a £3.00 charge for 24 hours, will no doubt use in the future. Really good breakfast with a large selection on offer including the option to have unlimited fry up. Location ideal for theatre and city centre shopping trips. Downside is there is no on site car parking but found cheap on street parking for the overnight stay.

We stayed here as an overbite stay to go to the airport. We arrived around 2:00pm and the desk staff were very friendly. We had a family room which was spotlessly clean. We went a walk around town which is only a few minutes away and had lunch in the local Witherspoons which was really lovely. The hotel is within walking distance to the Piccadilly train station which we used to get a train to the airport the next day.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would return for a longer stay again

Well run, pleasant and efficiently run hotel. Two minutes walk from Manchester Picadilly train station and stroll to town centre. Evening meal was a pleasant surprise, not your usual pub grub. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station and the city center, came in on Sunday and stayed for two nights checked out on Tuesday and went to another premier inn close to the Trafford center where my children were going to do indoor skydiving and visiting the sealife and legoland but what a big mistake! I could not wait to check out on Wednesday morning to check myself back into Manchester Piccadilly where we left. The staff are excellent, they make you feel very welcome, they are such a happy bunch of people and they make the experience extra special, Stevie at breakfast gives your start to the day a kick with his genuine friendliness and his singing, there is Goretti, the cheerful lady who goes about her job with a smile and asking if everything is ok. At the reception there is Niall who is such a big character and he brings the reception alive and there is the ever smiling Amy who has such a kind soothing voice and nothing is too much to ask of them. All staff are very helpful and seem to be happy doing their jobs. The hotel is also very clean, housekeeping always on time and everything back in place like you had not just slept in. I will recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back here whenever I come to Manchester. The only thing I can say not so positive is the Wednesday rate which seem a bit high but I did not mind so much as the service is top notch. Kudos to all staff!
