“Truly is a sanctuary.”
Reviewed 10 August 2013

Went here for dinner tonight. Excellent choice of varied foods on the menu. The meal was really good. The service staff was unbelievablely great. The atmosphere at the place was so relaxing. Everyone seemed to be a 'regular'. The staff made everyone feel welcome. They were not annoying, but made sure everyone/everything was going ok.

Would highly recommend this eatery. Wished we had come across it sooner!

“Outstanding Quality and Value”
Reviewed 9 April 2013

This bar and restaurant, recently opened in Manchesters Gay Village is a GREAT find!
very comfortable bar areas, button back sofas, wing chairs etc, means a comfortable and relaxing environment. The bar prices are a very pleasant surprise at the moment, £7.50 for a very decent bottle of Merlot ,served at proper room temp. in such a relaxing setting. Cheerfull staff, again relaxed and informal.
The jewel in THIS crown is the food on offer! Wow, its excellent! Brilliant bar snacks, more like meals than snacks and perfect home made chunky chips to die for!
Downstairs is a formal restaurant, and on Sunday a brilliant Carvery is offered. My partner had truly excellent roast beef, and I had the most succulent Turkey (no disgusting turkey roll rubbish here). You really should try this eatery, a TRUE hidden gem...enjoy!

“Great value, great atmosphere”
Reviewed 16 January 2013

Eaten here several time now, both from the regular menu and from the Sunday carvery and I couldn't find fault with anything. The Sunday Carvery featured a choice of three meats and all the veg you would expect to see - plus homemade Yourkshire puddings and roast spuds. The regular menu has a decent selection of snacks and main course choices (although for me on of the snack meals is plenty and I'd struggle to get through a full-sized meal!) - they do a really tasty 'build-your-own' burger which is made in the kitchens (NOT pre-processed), meaty and full of flavour. The kitchens are open plan enough for you to be able to see food being prepared so that is reassuring and you can see it is all fresh. The staff are lovely; it makes a change to be greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. I've taken friends and family to eat there as well as used the place for meetings over a coffee. It is great to NOT be hurried out the door or made to feel you have to jump up the second you have finished your meal - in fact the raised area has settees to encourage you to stay, chat and relax. (They have daily newspapers there too - only a small thing but it makes a difference if you are waiting to meet someone)
