While in Manchester my husband wanted to try Bruno's. We drove up and I wasn't sure I wanted to go in….but don't be fooled by the outside. From the minute you walk in you're made to feel like family. The pizza and tapas are great, as are the pastas! The prices are very reasonable too. We asked about eggplant but alas they don't make eggplant here. Perhaps they could do that as a special once in a while (hint hint). The tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had! They are closed for renovations but we can't wait to go back.

Nice food with a different concept of Classic Italian food served in a cafe but I had the ten bobs the day after and I think that maybe
Some of the food us ping and diinged before it's served...saying that I still enjoyed the experience but probably not return

The owner is very friendly; expect more of a cafe than a restaurant. Although they are currently closed for refurbishment, so this could change. The food was great with lots of it, with some average dishes and some very nice ones indeed. The Gnocchi was excellent. We paid £10 a head for the food, and the food just kept coming; we just couldn’t eat it all in the end. They don’t have draft beer but have bottled Peroni, bud etc and the house red wine was delicious. Well worth a visit, great fast service and a good meal. Warning they do not take card so bring some cash, not like you will need much

Went to Bruno's last night with family. Food was really nice traditional italian fare and in plentiful supply. Bruno himself recommended the set menu at £10 a head. Lovely garlic breads, tapas to start. 19" pizzas, 4 cheese gnocchi and lasagna for main. With wine it was £20 each and we couldn't have eaten more! Highly recommeded.

Been a few times and you can't beat this for authenticity, service and great tasting food. It's not the 'best' in town by any imagination as not great area & basic decor but if want want an owner which is passionate, genuine and lovely along with great tasting food for not alot of money, then this place will not be beaten.

Give it a go, and support Bruno. He's an Italian version of Jamie who wants to teach people to cook with simple fresh ingredients, not put up with takeaways.
