“Perfect location to visit Manchester”

We spent a few days here to be close to our daughter in Manchester yet be away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is perfectly situated to access the moors and all places east.
The property has everything we needed and the hosts were most welcoming and dealt immediately with any queries. Very clean and well equipped. Just watch your tail end when reversing out onto the road!
Great views and nice patio except God wasn't kind with the weather on occasions and didn't get a chance to use it.
Deadly quiet at night and no sleep disturbance.
Will be back no doubt soon to the area and will definitely stay here again. Landlords flexibility with dates and short lets greatly suits our lifestyle
Keep up the good work and hope to meet again sometime soon.

A perfect cottage for three, equipped with all we needed. We loved the setting on the edge of the moor with a beautiful countryside view especially from our bedroom and the patio area which was a great little suntrap and lovely spot to sit and relax. Our teenage daughter was impressed with having her own en-suite facilities and commented that the shower was the best she'd ever used ! It was super to wake up to bird song and bleating lambs. Ideal spot to stay for walking or cycling. A good base close to villages and the small town of Uppermill.

“Peaceful and cosy secret place”
Reviewed 15 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Karen and Les are very welcoming whilst still giving you the space you need to relax. The cottage was spotless, cosy and warm and we had instant satisfaction from putting our bags down to leaving. We would absolutely recommend this place for those people wishing for a home away from home. Lovely log fire and a cute patio to sit out in. Nice and hot powerful showers and comfy bed. We hope to visit again soon! Stacy-Anne

“Excellent”
Reviewed 10 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We spent a relaxing few days at this beautiful accommodation. The cottage was well equipped and in a lovely location with great views over the countryside. The bed was really comfortable and an added plus was the Sky+ television. The cottage is in a good location for visits to Manchester or the Yorkshire moors. Our host, Les, was very welcoming and helpful. We would certainly recommend a stay here.

“Perfect getaway!!!!!”
Reviewed 8 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Ive recently stayed in standedge foot cottage and it was just what me and my partner where after some quiet and peaceful time away but close to local amenities for the days we wanted to explore. The cottage is exactly this! close to manchester Liverpool and chester and with easy access to the m62 you have plenty of choice of other days out. The cottage itself feels like a home away from home and has everything you need especially the chocolates and biscuits on arrival :) set in beautiful coutryside with Saddleworth surrounding you was a pleasure to open the curtain in the morning to take it all in! Les and his partner where extremely helpful and where right next door if you ever needed anything. Defiantly recommend this cottage and look forward to going back sometime in the future :) :) :).
