“Most enjoyable and relaxing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 September 2013

Agree with previous report that the welcome was good, the ambience very relaxing. Feels like a family run place and this was confirmed by staff - a chain...but only of two, both Mediterranean style, the other restaurant in Manchester city centre. I intend to go there soon and will report. Interesting menu (new), did not feel expensive at all for what we had - I thought good value for money. Nicely planted outside area which needs good weather (we sat inside under an old olive tree and a grape vine - hence the name I guess). I will return.

“A welcoming restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2013

From the minute we stepped through the door we were made to feel very welcome here and shown to a table with a street view. Varied menu, good food, sadly we were both driving so couldn't sample the wines. Prices seem high for the standard of restaurant, extra charge for vegetables/chips is disappointing. Lovely Baklava dessert. Quite likely to return - when not driving.

“Excellent service on a busy Saturday night”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2013

This review is for Dimitri's in Didsbury, now called Olive and Vine. My parents and i booked a table for Dimitri's on a saturday night and despite being super busy, the service was brilliant. For starters we chose the 5 tapas for £10 option which included chorizo, sweet peppers, feta and dips and we were not disappointed. All fresh, tasty and excellent value. We were excited about our mains judging by the starter.
I complained that my main course of prawns was too small for the price (£13.95!) and there was no objections from our waiter (who turned out to be the manager) - he just brought us some more and it was delicious. My dad enjoyed his olympian mixed grill which consisted of a plate full of excellent meat which he thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, although it is not cheap, the experience was fantastic and we'll be back without a doubt as they couldnt have made us feel more welcome.

“Hit and miss...latest new menu overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2013

Before the last new menu, prices were not inexpensive but now they are way too high. We had visited on average, weekly, but now the food seems to not be as good. The service is very hit and miss, regardless of whether empty or full. The staff are always pleasant but are hit and miss, sometimes very attentive, other times you can be left for up to half an hour before being asked what you would like to drink even when it's not busy. The rice and the salad are very good but the other food we've had, notably the souvlaki isn't as good. If the lovely manager reads this, please sort your service issues out and check food quality.... Standards have fallen...such a shame as we've had some good meals here in the past. Bad idea to make the veg a separate price too.
