Simply unexciting & not memorable for a 4* hotel; compared unfavourably with Malmaison in Birmingham, visited the previous week.
Room 605 is ok for 1 person; cramped for 2. It has a loud, drafty heating/ air conditioning system on anything but the lowest setting. But I followed other advice & requested a quiet room - and it otherwise delivered on this.
But the location means I might well return, even though it is one of the less enthralling business hotels I have stayed in. 10 mins walk to Piccadilly & Salford Central stations & possibly less to the Arndale centre. 1 min to the art gallery next door.
And it was quiet, which was a priority.
The breakfast (in room) was forgettable, but a room service burger & veg really good.

Room Tip: # 605 ok for solo traveller only. Quiet room but no view.

We stayed at the Arora for one night last weekend after visiting the Palace theatre. This hotel is very central for walking to the theatre and town centre.
We had a room on the 6th floor which was spotless clean, modern and comfortable. The temperature could be regulated to suit us and the bathroom with bath and shower was perfect. The cooked breakfast was very good.
Parking at a reduced rate is just round the corner and the restaurants in the area are numerous .
We chose a very good Thai one which is next door to the hotel - and was recommended by George who is a friendly and helpful member of staff at the Arora.
When we visit Manchester again we will definately stay at the Arora again.

Upon arriving at the hotel we we're greeted by George a very caring and friendly guy.. The reception was inviting..fresh and inviting.. Our room was comfy but yet modern.. All facilities were accommodated.. Even speaker volume in bathroom and also for temp of room.. Beds and linen were of exceptional standard.. Mattress was so comfy I wanted to stay there, breakfast was delivered on time and was hot and very tasty.. George went above and beyond assisting us with our bags as we went shopping assuring us of their safety also giving us much needed info on local transport.. All in all I would defo recommend this outstanding hotel as a must ... 5* from all 10 Aintree Ladies... Again Thanks George xxxxx

Just back from 3 night stay in the Arora Hotel, Manchester City Centre. This is a very nice hotel within 3 minutes walk to the Arndal shopping centre and 2 minutes to Chinatown. Staff were excellent, especially Susan and a male member of staff (blonde hair from Sweden perhaps) who recommended places to go and see and good restaurants. Each room in this hotel comes with its own mini fridge and safe - great idea. Rooms were spotless and serviced each morning. The only downside if i can even call it that was the bed mattress was too soft, but the upside was the bed was Queen size, there were only 2 pillows (we would have liked 2 each), that said i am sure if i had asked for more pillows the excellent staff would have kindly obliged. We stayed Sunday to Wednesday. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors are bigger, but our room on the first floor was spacious with a big bathr...

The Arora is okay. Nice rooms, friendly staff, fast check in and check out. It is what I expect for such a hotel in the given price range. We do discuss everytime whether or not I should be paying extra for WIFI access, which seems ridiculous because there's free WIFI at the corner (coffee shop). Foods good. There's no swimming pool or spa (which is suggested in the rating questions here).
