We decided to have a night in Manchester when fetching my son back to Uni after the Christmas holidays. It wasn't difficult making the decision where to stay as we'd stayed at the Arora hotel in September. I think it speaks volumes when you make a return visit to a place. Obviously we were happy with the hotel first time round so quite happy to return.
So pleased we did. We were met by Lindsay on the desk and she was helpful and informative. The rooms a good standard and hotel very nice.
There was no buffet breakfast as there had been on our previous visit, but this was no great hardship as we just ordered our breakfast and it certainly stopped us overeating!! (but this may have been dissapointing to people expecting the buffet breakfast).
We ate at the restaurant the evening we arrived and had a very enjoyable meal.
Tried a couple of cocktails, also very enjoyable.
I'd definately go back to the Arora and truthfully thats the best review any hotel can have.
Well done Arora!!

Dear KaneyCumbria,

Thanks for the great review we are delighted to hear you chose to stay with us again. On the rare occasions when the hotel is quieter rather than leave the hot food out on the breakfast buffet we offer an ala carte selection which is cooked to order to ensure the quality is maintained, we don’t mind if you ask for seconds though!
We look forward to welcoming you back for graduation.

Kind regards

I recently stayed at the Arora Hotel Manchester and was so pleased with the quality of the room and the staff that I felt I should let people know.
As with many things it is the details that make the difference, the offer of help rather than having to ask.

The room service stood out as being especially good, they offered to bring up desert 15 minutes after the main course so it was hot and fresh. I would never have thought to ask but it made all the difference.

I would heartily recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in the center of Manchester. all the center is in easy walking distance.

Room Tip: The kingsize room was very spacious.

Stayed 2 nights in 4* hotel London followed by one night at this hotel. In comparison this hotel well deserves all 4 stars for the price. Friendly staff, large room with 2 double beds and large bathroom with speakers from TV/music system. All spotlessly clean. Oh all this followed by lovely breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Good central location, staff were excellent, meals were good value for money and the room was of a good size and well equipped. On arrival we were upgraded to a premier room (foc) and the whole experience was good and we would stop here again. If you are looking for a hotel near chinatown this one is well located for this.

Room Tip: Did not review Swimming pool or spa as we did not use them

Hi Malcom,

Thank you for your positive comments we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. For the sake of clarity for other readers we do not have or have ever professed to have a swimming pool and spa, we have a small fitness room for those who feel the need.

We have just had a two day midweek break in Manchester, we chose the ARORA hotel because of its position to China Town, Deansgate shopping and the main night life attractions. We had a superior King size room which was very good, the breakfast was excellent, but the main attraction was the staff service which was excellent. I suggest any one in business who wants to train their staff on customer service should invest in a trip to this Hotel. Only slight nag was that the Satnav did not like the post code, buy on second time of phoning the Hotel, the staff came to the rescue and went out on the street to find us and guide us in. Fantastic.

In my opinion the Arora is a reasonable 3 star hotel which is fine for city workers but couples may want more X Factor. The hotel makes a good base being near a lot of restaurants and is only a 15 minute walk to the shopping district or 20 minutes to the main station. The rooms were quite, clean, basic and had a nice big soft bed. Breakfast was average.

Dear Gone2golf,

I am sorry and surprised to read that you found The Arora to be in your opinion only adequate, as you can read in the earlier reviews we are usually found to be a most well received four star hotel with an excellent reputation for customer service and cleanliness, our location is often praised and is actually only 5 minutes from the main shopping district and a 10 minutes walk to Piccadilly train station.

Booked through Secret Escapes- arrived to find they could not find our booking, took a little whole to sort. Room was roomy and clean. When had a meal included ( resident menu ) excellent valve £21.00, Breakfast very nice but costly at £16.00. All the staff were very tentative and nothing was to much trouble. Star staff Moe behind the bar and Emma in the restaurant. On checkout we were charged for snacks and drinks we never had, we challenged these cost and they were knocked off. Would we recommend YES!!!! Would we go back YES!!!!

Dear Chris,

Sorry to hear there was some confusion over your reservation and invoice but delighted to hear that you had a great stay and meal in our bar and grill. Breakfast is reduced from the normal price of £14.00 to £10.00 if pre-booked the night before.
