Stayed here as I was seeing a show at The Comedy Store. Barely a month old so as clean as it ought to be. Reception on 1st floor so you have to either climb stairs or take the lift, get out and back in if on a different floor.

I stayed on 5th floor, pity no view. Travelodge ought to give you a choice of where you might want your room based on availability. I don't mind traffic noise and I'd hoped I may get a room overlooking Piccadily Gardens.

Great price at only £26. The easiest and most convenient of the chains many hotels around Manchester City Centre. Receptionists freindly and quick. Will definately staty here again.

Room Tip: If only we had a choice. Great view of Piccadilly Gardens if you are lucky to get your room there.

Stayed Wednesday - Friday, 2 nights. Bought breakfast online so it was cheaper. Kids under 16 eat breakfast free (2 per paying adult). Room was comfy, clean and smelled nice. One trundle bed was not out on arrival, so we went to reception, they then sorted this, after a little confusion.

Breakfasts was lovely, scrambled egg, bacon, tomato, beans and sausage (think that's it) as well as yoghurt, tea, coffee, juice, toast, cereal, fruit, blueberry muffins and croissants... Defiantly think that's it now ahah. Oh, water too.

The room was lovely, nice big window, not much of a view (another hotel), but to be fair, the hotel is in the middle of Manchester ahah.

Overall, we were 100% happy with our stay from check in (machine, helped by manager (I presume), Ben, who was excellent helping) to checking out (by a very kind, super helpful lady who was cleaning the Bar Cafe and saw people were waiting. I think she cooks too, lovely lady).

Would definitely return!

Stayed here for a night with a group of friends to go on a night out without having to worry about getting on the last train home.
It is located around 5mins walk from Piccadilly rail station - just follow the Exit Piccadilly 1 signs then when you exit the station building it's straight on near the Big Wheel.
It is a new Travelodge so still has a new carpet smell and is very clean.
We all found the staff to be extremely helpful, pleasant and friendly.
Check-in was very easy and we got 2 key cards per room.
The rooms we had were on the 5th floor with good views of the Big Wheel and Piccadilly Gardens.
We had plenty of towels, clean bedding and a small but immaculate shower room.
There was also a wall mounted heater so you could control how hot or cold the room was yourself.
There was a small wall mounted tv, tea/coffee making facilities and a few hangers for clothes.
We would definitely stay here again.

This travelodge is brand new and been open less than a month, I went to check in on the first floor and the area was large and very clean, The bar area was big with out standing staff ready to help.I have a family room on the 2nd floor, It was a large room with 3 large windows over looking out the area. I was very happy with the location as the shop across the road (Spar) is open 24 hours, I woke up at half four and went for a drink in the middle of the night. It felt a very safe area well lit. Like time had frozen.

Stayed on the 14th February 2014, my daughter had booked tickets for the Ruby Lounge (which was very near). On arrival at Piccadilly Train Station took a taxi to the hotel, but taxi driver didn't know where the hotel was and took us to the wrong Travelodge. Would bother with taxi next time as the hotel is only 5/ 10 minutes walk. Checked into hotel using Express Check in machine which was quick and easy to use. The hotel and rooms were spotless and you smell the new carpet. The room was comfortably with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom felt as if you were on a cruise, small compact with a shower. But were only given one bath towel for two people. Required hairdryer on the 15th February went down to reception to enquire and receptionist did every thing to find one but were all out and delivered one to our room. The location of the hotel is excellent near shops, across the road from Piccadilly gardens and Manchester wheel.
The only downside no facilities to leave baggage when checking out.
