Owner description: Part of the successful brewing company Marble Brewery, 57 Thomas Street is the Keg & Bottle specialist. Along with the expected offerings of Marbles own brews, Thomas Street has extended their bottled selection to over 100 of the best from around the world and increased the number of taps to 8, allowing for number of rotating guest beers. The second floor bar adds plenty of extra seating, Cask Beer & a small but classic Cocktail selection. The food offering is brand new, with the highlights of the menu being delicious pizza style flat breads, small plates, sharing boards & of course our famous cheese boards! If you're looking for a rare brew or something local and sessionable to sip along with some tasty, fresh food Thomas Street is the place!

Again another wonderful bar from Marble Breweries.
A bar selling beer brewed locally at their brewery, but also selling a great selection of beers from around the world. Because of this the prices vary and really good foreign beer is usually not cheap. This bar is small but has a very friendly "table sharing" atmosphere, where you're very likely to make some new friends!
Again I cannot recommend the Earl Grey IPA enough! It's delicious!
There are seats outside in the street, great for lovely weather. All tables inside are equipped with Jenga, Draughts and Chess in case you want a play. Lots of us did!

Visited early evening on a Saturday, it was packed with people playing chess etc, bar is very narrow but quirky with the casks on the bar etc! Staff are knowledgable and friendly, but the major let down is ONE unisex toilet for the whole pub!! It wouldn't put me off going again but wouldn't stay for more than one!

I discovered this small bar on Thomas Street by accident one afternoon after I had just been to the Port Street Beer House up the road. At first it looks like a normal cafe or coffee house, but on closer inspection it is in fact a bar.

It's a good addition to the thriving Northern Quarter and serves an ever changing range of beer from the Manchester based Marble Brewery, along with guest ales and lagers.

They also serve tea, coffee, cakes and ploughmans lunches.

I've only visited here in the afternoon and each time it has been busy, so you have to be lucky to get a table, or even a standing space at the bar.

This bar is now on my list of regular haunts whenever I visit Manchester.

P.S. I'm still not sure of the correct name for this place - is it "Marble Bar", "Marble Beerhouse", "Northern Quarter Beer House" or "57 Thomas Street"?

This is a great place to visit for a few drinks and a snack! Plenty of interesting ales on offer from the Marble Brewery of Manchester - served from steel barrels on the bar counter adjacent to a wall full of varied imported beers. I remember they had 2 strong ales on draught...7.2% and other was over 9%! They also provide a range of snacks such as bread, olives, cheeses and meats, etc. Indoors has a long, narrow table to sit at while drinking, eating and playing chess or backgammon! They also have outdoor seating at the front on the street pavement. Great location on Thomas Street in the city's Northern Quarter. A nice chic and modern bar with friendly, professional staff.
