Along with the expected offerings of Marbles own brews, Thomas Street has extended their bottled selection to over 100 of the best from around the world and increased the number of taps to 8, allowing for number of rotating guest beers. The second floor bar adds plenty of extra seating, Cask Beer & a small but classic Cocktail selection. “Up your game Marble bar”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

For an establishment that advertises and prides itself as serving "real ale straight from the four casks that sit on our bar as well as four brand new rotating keg lines", I found it quite poor that on a Friday at 4 'o clock on the afternoon all they had on draught was Manchester Bitter.

I think I'll stick to Bar Fringe in the future, at least there is a choice of draught beers in there.

Very poor in deed Marble Bar, pull your finger out, and up your game.

“Spoilt for Choice”
Reviewed 12 June 2014 via mobile

On a weekend jaunt we stumbled across Marble Bar. With a good selection of beers and nibbles we could have quite happily settled in for the afternoon, however given limited time we only stayed for a few hours. If you have time to spare an afternoon of savouring different beers do yourself a favour visit Marble Bar.

“Great bar with great beers”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

Again another wonderful bar from Marble Breweries.
A bar selling beer brewed locally at their brewery, but also selling a great selection of beers from around the world. Because of this the prices vary and really good foreign beer is usually not cheap. This bar is small but has a very friendly "table sharing" atmosphere, where you're very likely to make some new friends!
Again I cannot recommend the Earl Grey IPA enough! It's delicious!
There are seats outside in the street, great for lovely weather. All tables inside are equipped with Jenga, Draughts and Chess in case you want a play. Lots of us did!

“Quirky little bar”
Reviewed 2 March 2014 via mobile

Visited early evening on a Saturday, it was packed with people playing chess etc, bar is very narrow but quirky with the casks on the bar etc! Staff are knowledgable and friendly, but the major let down is ONE unisex toilet for the whole pub!! It wouldn't put me off going again but wouldn't stay for more than one!

“Interesting beers”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

I discovered this small bar on Thomas Street by accident one afternoon after I had just been to the Port Street Beer House up the road. At first it looks like a normal cafe or coffee house, but on closer inspection it is in fact a bar.

It's a good addition to the thriving Northern Quarter and serves an ever changing range of beer from the Manchester based Marble Brewery, along with guest ales and lagers.

They also serve tea, coffee, cakes and ploughmans lunches.

I've only visited here in the afternoon and each time it has been busy, so you have to be lucky to get a table, or even a standing space at the bar.

This bar is now on my list of regular haunts whenever I visit Manchester.

P.S. I'm still not sure of the correct name for this place - is it "Marble Bar", "Marble Beerhouse", "Northern Quarter Beer House" or "57 Thomas Street"?
