I stayed here for business on a night that Manchester was very busy due to a football event. My colleague and I had an evening meal in the restaurant as well as breakfast the following morning.
The meals were nicely cooked and served by really cheerful and pleasant staff. However, somewhat disconcertingly a mouse appeared during the meal, several times, scurrying around the floor and disappearing under a fire exit door. Whilst faintly amusing, this was not something I really expected whilst eating! The staff were made aware of it and eventually saw it for themselves, but they seemed unsure of what action to take and just went about their usual tasks.

The room I was allocated was comfortable and spacious as is usual for Premier Inns. However, the a/c switched itself on (uncommanded) at around 0500 and woke me up with its gurgling and general noise.

Despite the really pleasant staff, I would try to choose another Premier Inn if staying in Manchester again in the future.

Dear mekydro,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Deansgate Locks.

I am glad to hear you enjoyed your breakfast and dinner, however I am really sorry your dining experience was affected by what happened. Please be advised we are taking this matter extremely seriously and have taken the necessary requirements to ensure this does not happen again.

I am also sorry to hear that the air conditioning woke you up early in the morning. The units in the rooms are on a timer, however this can be altered by the reception team at any point during your stay if you contact us via the phone available in your room.

I am disappointed to hear you would not choose to stay with us again in the future although you did find the team here to be pleasant and helpful.

If you would like to discuss the problems you had further please do not hesitate to contact me on 01612389500.

Kind Regards

Went to Manchester by train and it was easy getting a tram to the nearest stop to the hotel, which is about 5 minutes walk away. We were only stopping for one night for a course the next day and the lovely friendly receptionist got us two rooms well before the check in time. The hotel is due for a refurb.(we were told) but it was clean and spacious as most Premier Inns are. Breakfast was fine, don't usually eat there but it was close to where our course was being held. Would stay there again.

Myself and my wife stayed here when we went to see linkin park at the phones 4u arena, the room was very big and really clean, only problem was the air ducts for the hotel was right outside our 1st floor room so the noise was very loud even with the windows shut! The hotel is close to bars and restaurants and the tram

Dear welshwonder_7,

Thank You for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at Deansgate Locks.

I am sorry to hear found the room to be noisy. If you choose to stay with us again, or any Premier Inn please advise us you would like a quieter room and we can ensure this is allocated for you.

We hope to see you again in the future.

We got a very good deal at this hotel by booking when these deals were advertised, We stayed over on 1/12/2014 after seeing Chris Rea and this gave us some free time to visit the Manchester Christmas market, Very easy to get there by car as it's just of the Mancunian way and plenty of free car parking which is a major bonus. Spacious room with two comfy beds. Had breakfast which was fine. You have a little walk into the centre but there's a free bus stop opposite the hotel; the buses run every 20 minutes. Bar ok. Had two bottles of Doom Bar at a fairly reasonable prize. All staff very friendly. Very enjoyable stay

Room Tip: We were on the first floor overlooking the car park

We have stayed here before and the hotel never fails in what it delivers good service with a welcoming smile, the bar and restaurant are excellent, WIFI was a problem on our visit but this was due to a BT problem in the area and not the hotel
