Stayed for a couple of nights recently on business. Have to say the approach to the hotel almost made me turn around and leave! The neighbouring building that is partially demolished and covered in graffiti does not inspire confidence in the surroundings.
The car park was busy but well covered with CCTV and lighting. The staff were all very friendly and polite. The hotel is a little bit tired looking and could do with some TLC. Broken lift, threadbare carpet on first-floor stair landing and paint work could do with a freshen.
All in all, it is a premier inn so the room was clean and decent. Air con is good - but a bit noisy overnight.
Price was very reasonable and very handy for the city centre.More
