I stopped here for a week's business trip. I had read on tripvadvisor before my stay about the rooms being stuffy with no air con. So I purchased a pedestal fan before I went.
On my arrival the staff were really pleasant and explained about the heat. And that if you required any fans they would lend you some.
Once in my room, which was adequate but could do with a tidy up. I lost all the electrical power in the room. I informed the reception and they dealt with it quicksand efficiently. The outcome was an engineer was required to sortvthe problem. The reception gave me the choice of waiting up to 4hrs for the engineer Or, to move me to another room.
The restaurant at the hotel was clean and the food was of a good enough standard.
The only thing I will reiterate on what others have said is, if Your a light sleeper. Always try to get a room over the car park as its a bit quieter away from the road.

Stayed here for two nights. It does what Premier Inn is meant to do. Our room was on the car park side so not much of an issue with road noise but I can well see it would be for those rooms on the main road. It was quite warm in the hotel but not enough to prevent sleep (and I have stayed in many more expensive hotels where it is way too hot to sleep).
Reception was well staffed with a helpful team always willing to call a taxi. It's easy to go into Didsbury giving plenty of choice to eat (cost was £4-£6 depending on time of day and how much the mini-cab drivers thought they could charge).
The breakfast was fine, not as much choice as some in the chain but still plenty on offer. Cooked food came promptly and the standard was good for half the price of business hotels.
We knocked off a star for the tired bathroom with a dodgy flush and clear signs of past flooding.

It's a nice place, very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. My room was lovely and quiet, I had a fan in my room which was great. My colleague though had a fan that wasn't effective and was overlooking the main road which she found noisy.

Great hotel, staff in hotel and restaurant very polite and helpful recommend meal deal for £23 dinner and breakfast, very good food and service, also room nice and clean, stay only spoilt by only lift breaking down with me in it and room temperature on the top floor on a sunny day 27deg c, recommend lower floors in hot weather as no air conditioning in rooms.

The room was very hot and facing the main road and so noisy we had to keep the windows closed. We did use the fan supplied but this really didnt help much. The bathroom was so hot we felt hotter after a shower than before. There was some very noisy occupants above us so all in all it was not a good experience. On reporting this to a member of staff on checking out she really didn't seem concerned and said we should have asked for an extra fan!! So much for a good night's sleep or your money back. We stayed at Cheadle Royal Premier Inn a couple of weeks ago which was far superior but as son has been moved to Christies hospital the West Didsbury was closer. Never again!!

Room Tip: Avoid a room facing the main road

hotel far too noisy internally and external, room far too hot, dirty bed linen and a smelly bathroom.

location on the main road in the boiling heat with no air con means you have to have windows open and every night police cars sirens blasting went up and down the road
