Possibly the best ever customer service with a smile at this hotel in a great location just 150 yards from Oxford Street station. Thankyou to Kim Kerry Sarah Lindsey who didn't just look after us, they made us laugh, got us the brand new rooms on the third floor and were very understanding when we missed checkout after a heavy night!

Room Tip: Third floor although the other rooms are getting done soon

Just back from an overnight stay in Manchester and this hotel did the job perfectly.

It sits between Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations and plenty of buses go past the hotel, so its really easy to get there. It's in a busy area, which means that there will inevitably be some noise from street-facing rooms - if this would bother you, then ask for a room in a quieter part of the building. However, the advantage of its location is that you're close to so many restaurants and attractions like Chinatown, the Art Gallery and shopping at the Arndale Centre, King Street and Deansgate.

The rooms are currently being refurbished and meet Premier Inn's usual high standards with hairdryer, tea/coffee and a nice big flat screen TV. Bed linen and bathroom were all spotlessly clean.

Best thing about the hotel? Without a doubt it was the customer service. A special mention for Fatou on reception, who was brilliant: at check-in, she found me a room away from the refurbishment works and helped with advice on buses for shopping further afield. There was a small maintenance issue in the room, which was resolved satisfactorily.

I didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on that, but overall I found this hotel excellent and plan to go back again, hopefully in the not too distant future.

This hotel is ideally located just down from Picadilly Gardens Metro station, from here you can take the 10 minute metro journey to Etihad Staduim and the services are extended in to the evening so you can be assured of you ride back home after the concert! The hotel doesnt have its own carpark but you can park at Q-Park around the corner and obtain a discount voucher from the hotel. The rooms are bright, fresh and clean and a resonable size.

We visited on a very busy weekend as 1D were in town.

We were put in room 331...lovely room which had been newly decorated, spotless and VERY comfy bed - no view as such from the window but only really planned sleeping in the room anyway so this wasn't a problem.

The problem was Wetherspoons emptying bottle bins from 6am - woken to massive loud crashes which then continued intermittently until about 9am - so we were awake from 6am and could not get back to sleep - the noise was bad even when we closed the window.

We were refunded the cost of our stay under the good night guarantee but it was a shame as everything else was great including every member of staff we dealt with.

Room Tip: Avoid room 331

Just back from a 2 night break to see One Direction. We were in one of the newly refurbished family rooms, king size bed and 2 singles, flat screen tv, very spacious and clean. Hotel is a 10 min walk to city centre. We had breakfast both mornings, , very good value as kids eat for free and a good selection. Staff were very helpful, would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in family room with 2 children. We were woken frequently during the night with screaming, swearing and shouting from outside. Lots of hen parties about. On leaving I complained about the noise and the staff told me I should ask for a quiet room next time! I would have thought that checking in with 2 kids next to me would have been a good enough hint to put me in a quiet room! Anyway they refunded me and politely so. That said the hotel is in a good easy accessible place, Oxford train station is the nearest. Over the road is a good all you can eat chinese place ( very reasonable) and the room was clean and well maintained. Just make sure you ask for a quiet one!

The room and hotel was clean and of the usual standard. However there was so much noise coming from the street, drunk people, traffic, sirens and bins being emptied. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a good night's sleep.
