A one night stay over to explore manchester, only a short walk from bars and shops. The room was very modern and fresh, with a great view. 12 o'clock check was great, so a nice sleep in. Would definitely stay again if the price is right!

There for the weekend. Executive Room but it smelled of damp. Excellent views over the city. Adequate breakfast. Good location. Cloud 23 bar is a trendy spot and is nice for a pre dinner drink or a late night cocktail. Irritated by the requirement to queue especially when you get to the bar and find numerous empty seats. It's difficult to enjoy your cocktail surrounded by empty seats in the knowledge that 20 people are standing in a queue downstairs. Overall not a bad hotel but the cultivated exclusivity of Cloud 23 is annoying.

I am sorry that you had to wait to gain access to Cloud 23 during your stay with us. Due to fire regulations we are restricted to 300 guest’s maximum at any one time on the 23rd floor. Cloud 23 shares the 23rd floor with our Executive Lounge; therefore we have to stagger access to each outlet so that we can demonstrate fairness to all interested parties.

I am pleased that like many other guests, you found the location of the hotel to be suitable for the many amenities Manchester has to offer.

I do hope that you are able to stay with us again.

Rooms reasonable size, well appointed. Air con is slow to respond to input (it takes a little while to effect a temperature change). Tidy layout. Underwhelmed by the £14/day charge for wi-fi access. Location good. Good security - have been in other hotels in the area which have been inadequately policed (to the cost of their clients) - efficient & polite but unobtrusive.

Good food across the road at Dimitri's - Greek bar/bistro. Three of us ate well with a bottle of decent house white for below £60.

We stayed just one night in room 1203. The room was excellent, clean, comfortable and very modern. Everything worked and the views over the cityscape were brilliant. The breakfast was good with an extensive choice. Every staff member we came across was pleasant, helpful and wouldn't hesitate to return.

From checking in to checking out the whole experience was wonderful. Staff are truly attentive and helpful. We stayed in a city view room on the 20th floor - I would recommend paying that bit extra as its worth it, you get a bigger bedroom and bathroom and the views are great. Cloud 23 is a must and reserving a table is also a must at night as the queues are quite large! It's ideally situated and modern hotel.

Te Podium Restaurant on the ground floor of the impressive Hilton Hotel in Deansgate, Manchester, offers good food and service. Unfortunately, it is on the ground floor of the hotel, near the main entrance, which made it pretty cold on the night we visited with a guest from a neighbouring hotel.

The restaurant is not in a self-contained room but is contained within a large void space with a very high ceiling, making it difficult to heat on cool evenings. This location also meant that it had no atmosphere.

On the plus side, the staff were welcoming and the food well presented. The portons could have been a little larger but the price was reasonable, in our view

I am delighted that you enjoyed your dining experience in Podium Restaurant. We are very fortunate to have a great team of Chef’s lead by Executive Head Chef, David Gale, who create wonderful dishes for our guests to enjoy. Your kind words have been shared with the kitchen brigade. I have also shared your feedback relating to the portion size and we thank you for your comment.

I am sorry if you felt a little cold whilst in the restaurant. I have requested that our Facilities team check the air conditioning temperature in this area as part of their daily checks to ensure that our guests are at a comfortable temperature whilst in the hotel. It has been highlighted that the accessible door to the hotel is allowing the cold air to enter the hotel, and circulate in this area and that this would certainly affect the temperature in these said areas on a cold day.

I am also sorry that you felt the restaurant lacked atmosphere. I appreciate that the design of our hotel is not to everyone’s liking, however, these great architectural spaces created by Ian Simpson are award winning.

The team at Hilton Manchester Deansgate are always happy to offer a friendly and attentive service and they have been made aware of your kind words.

Retrospective Review

I stayed in February 2012 for my birthday. We had a suite on with fantastic views - never have I had a bedroom with more than 1 toilet! The room was very modern and spacious.
We used the swimming pool which is a nice option in a city centre hotel.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic!
The queue for Cloud 23 was very log but as resident of the hotel (not sure whether it was the room type or all residents) we were allowed to queue jump - although I felt guilty to those left waiting I really appreciated this gesture and we were able to enjoy cocktails whilst taking in the views of the city.
We enjoyed breakfast in the executive lounge. All the staff were friendly and attentive during our stay - I would definitely recommend.
