This hotel is very well located, carries the flagship Mercure brand synonymous with affordable luxury, and provides 4-5 star chic with 3 star prices. We were delighted to be upgraded to a suite because the hotel was so fully booked. Definitely recommend this one and Mercure generally in the UK.

This Hotel has seen better days, the hotel room was tired and bathroom worn, windows steamed up so you could not see the most fantastic view. Position fantastic, but average internally
Food and breakfast were tasty and some of the staff were exceptional and that is what you remember most.
We had a burst pipe on the 11th floor and the staff did not hesitate in finding me a new room so I could shower and they were generally very helpful all round.

Room Tip: Ask for a view towards the city centre....the higher the better.

Dear Guest

Thank you for your review. I was sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your bedroom on this occasion; your feedback has been taken on board. Please be assured that as a Company we are committed to investing in our property to ensure it is always presenting at its very best.

My apologies for the inconvenience that occurred as a result of the burst pipe on the 11th floor. As I am sure you can appreciate, maintenances issues can happen at any time, however, should we encounter such a situation, we will always act as quickly as possible to resolve the problem in question and also cause minimal disruption to our guests. I was pleased to hear that the team reacted by offering you an alternative room to shower in; my apologies for the inconvenience caused at the time.

On a positive note, I was pleased to hear your kind comments regarding your breakfast experience and the team that operated that area of business and I will certainly share your feedback with them.

Many thanks once again for your review and I do hope that sometime in the future we may have the opportunity to welcome you back for a genuine hassle-free experience.

Kind regards
David Daly

Manchester and Liverpool get to charge unbelievable prices for mediocre accomodation. I hit lucky using Trivago (search engine). I thought the staff were very good. The bar has a great view. But this is a business hotel not a tourist attraction by any means. I would not pay more than an average of £60 per night

Just spent a weekend at this hotel. The staff are absolutely fantastic, especially the greeters in the restaurant at breakfast. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of quality items and hot food is indeed hot.

The rooms are comfortable, not overly large but adequate. They are kept spotlessly clean and are fully equipped. The baths are very big and there was always lots of hot water and good fluffy towels.

Soundproofing is not great as we were able to hear the conversations of our neighbours next door.

Another thing, someone set off the Fire Alarm and its a long way down from the 12th floor to the street. Whilst the upper rooms have great views, anyone with mobility difficulties should bear this in mind.

Car-parking on the premises is reasonably priced for a city centre hotel.

In all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay in this city centre hotel and would have no hesitation in returning.

I was in town for a conference and picked this hotel based on the ACCOR Brand and location. I found it very staifactiory. LOcated in the center of things right next to the Toursit Office.

Manchester is a revitalized good looking city. I wish I had more time to explore.

We were surprised by the standard of this hotel after staying at Mercures elsewhere. The staff were very helpful although somertimes didn't fully understand what we wanted especially when it came to parking. Finding the hotel car park is a bit tricky thanks to sat nav we managed. Parking is on the second floor and involves driving around the side of the hotel following the one way system. On arrival we found our room very comfortable especially the large bed. Some road noise as only secondary double glazing. Free wi fi on the 3 rd floor in the bar restaurant area. We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed our meals very much. We seemed to be attended to by several different staff as opposed to one which seems the norm during service. As a base for central Manchester the hotel catered for our needs.
