“Ok...good location”

Hotel has a great location set right in the middle of Piccadilly. Check in was rather slow which was a bit annoying after a long day. Rooms have free wifi which is a bonus. Bathrooms are a bit dated and rooms are a bit small. For a 1 night business stay it was ok.

We took advantage of a two - night stay at Mercure Manchester to see the Christmas Markets. The hotel is a five minute walk from Piccadilly Station. It is very centrally located, overlooking Piccadilly Gardens. Check-in was quick and easy. Our room on the 12th Floor gave us a spectacular view over Manchester with The Pennines clearly visible. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Dinner on the first night was included in the price of our stay. There was an a la carte menu and a set menu to choose from. The food was excellent. Breakfast on the first day was varied, plentiful amd fulfilling - a good start to the day. We did not eat at the hotel that evening because we wanted to try one of the many restaurants in the city centre. After another hearty breakfast on the second day we did some last minute shopping - check-out time was 12 noon so that was very useful. Staff were friendly and very helpful. All in all, a good stay at Mercure Manchester, one to be recommended. Go on . . . . . . . you know ypu want to!!!!!!!!

Dear Guest

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share your experience of your two night stay with your fellow Tripadvisor viewers.

I was delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and I thank you too for your kind recommendation. At this time of year, Manchester does indeed look and feel extremely Christmassy particularly with the Christmas Markets now up and running.

On a future trip to Manchester, I do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back again.

Kind regards
David Daly

great location for city centre, had agreat stay, could not fault it, clean room and the beds were top class you just sank into them got a good nights sleep, breakfast spot on with plenty of choice, we arrived by coach so dont know what the car park is like. The area is lively at night but we had no problems sleeping, we were at the side of the hotel probably if at front it would be different. Only fault i found was the shower it only had one speed and it wasnt very fast.

Arrived 1 hour early and was able to check in with no questions.

room was good. offered options we werent bothered. got a room with a city view. the bathroom did not quite meet the standard of the room. it was clean but had a musty smell and some of the fixings were hanging off.
The bed was two single mattereses pushed together. that didnt matter but one had a matteress topper and the other didnt meaning there was a difference in the height. both however were super comfy, i asked for foam pillows as i am allergic to feather and within half an hour they were bought up.

When we came in late we asked for our parking (24hrs £15) to be extended as we wanted to spend longer in manchester snd were told this wouldnt be a problem.

Overall a few minor issues with the room which was completly made up for by great service
we would stay again.

A good location for the centre, being close to Piccadilly station as well as the MEN where we attended a corporate event. Reasonable value for a city centre location. The surrounding area is "lively" at night and there is a late opening Burger King next door which is either good or bad depending upon your preferences. Late night shops too and we were glad of a bar of chocolate when we returned late to our room.

Room Tip: We were offered a choice of floor and went for the 11th. We had a very quiet room.

Very welcoming staff good rooms and tasty breakfast, could of done with extra staff at breakfast but all in all a good place to stay. Location good on piccadilly gardens.difficult to find entrance to car park and had to pay £15 for the night, thought this should of been free to guests.

Dear Guest

Thank you for posting your review following your recent stay with us.

As a city centre hotel, we are extremely lucky to have the benefit of our own onsite car park which, as you know, is only steps away from our front door. A car parking charge has always been in operation at the hotel and this is publicised on our website and third party websites we have control over, along with as clearer directions as possible on how to find us, as we know being in an unfamiliar City with one way systems involved too, how daunting it can be trying to find your destination. We do regularly compare our price with other car parks in our immediate vicinity and as they currently charge £22-£24 per overnight stay, we believe our price of £15.00 per overnight stay to be extremely favourable.

Many thanks once again for taking the time to post your review and hope that we may have the opportunity to welcome you back again very soon.

Kind regards
David Daly
