Stayed here for one night with my partner.
Location: very central, 5 mins walking from picadilly station, arndale, chinatown and various bars, resturants.
Hotel: on first impression, lovely friendly staff. Slightly dated in areas, mainly stair cases and decor.
Rooms: we stayed on 8th floor in room 827 which was right at end of corridor, room was generous size and had all that was required, it did however smell very musty. This was due to the amount of MOULD growing on the old double glazing! It stank and was progressing on to the curtains, now normally i would of complained but we were only there one night and i didnt want to waste our time so we chose to ignore it, i do question though how much longer the hotel can though as not only is it a health hazard, the noise through the windows is dreadful and lead to a broken sleep! I have stayed in central london and new york and never experinced such a level of noise! The bathroom also smelt of drains and the shower head is fixed in such a way it is difficult to shower comfortably.
Breakfast was lovely, but quite extorniate.
We were woken in the night by drunken women but must say the hotel dealth with one particualrly angry female very well and we had no need to worry, i must thank whoever complained because the argument was escalating quickly!
Would i stay here again, probably not,
Would i recommend no not really, look elsewhere.
